WHEN: After midnight
RATING: TBD (but likely R or higher)
STATUS: Incomplete

----

Damien occasionally like to walk at night before turning in to his bedroom at the apartment. He liked the fresh air, the sights, the sounds.. the scents. Things had been going very well for him lately. He chose to go to a park tonight. So here he was, walking in Central Park. He had not been here before. Well, first time for everything, he supposed..

He had wandered into a wooded area, into a path that had led him to what felt like a forest. He had been in the woods before, back in Chicago. It was where he accidentally killed his cousin Mark when the boy refused to join him. Damien sighed, shaking his head at that memory. It wouldn't do any good to dwell on that part of the past.

Smiling to himself, he walked past another tree. But then.. he stopped in his tracks. He felt something. He felt that someone.. was close by. He usually knew when another body was in close proximity, but this was different. He could smell something unusual. It was a bit similar to his own scent.. and yet, it wasn't exactly like that. Ahhh, the perks of being part jackal.

He did not move, but stayed right where he was. He had a serious expression, knowing that whoever it was near him, was approaching from some direction. He was also a bit.. curious about who it could be, as he hadn't felt a presence of this type before. He mumbled quietly, in a matter-of-fact tone, "I know you're there."

Fenrir was honestly a bit irked that the other man was aware that he was approaching. It took all the fun out of stalking when the bloke could sense you. He furrowed his brows and shifted forward, out from behind one of the trees in the forest.

"Do y'know who I am, then, or do you just have the luck of havin' a good nose?" And by 'who', Fenrir really meant 'what', but that was easy enough to discern from the way that he was speaking. The odd thing was that although he could scent some sort of canine on the other man as he stepped closer to him, he couldn't make out exactly what it was. That was ... irritating.

Damien saw the other man approach. The man seemed to have a strength about him.. and a sense of ruggedness as well. Not that the boy cared much about that. Looks weren't always the best thing, as appearances can be deceiving. He knew that from experience."Well.. not so sure who you are, as you haven't said your name yet. But mine is Damien Thorn."

He smirked. "I have a good nose.. and other things." He sniffed then. But that wasn't all he did. He stared into the guy's eyes, sorta like a looking into your soul kind of gaze. Sorta creepy. But mostly? He let his sense of smell have reign, as he sniffed a couple more times. "You.. well, you're obviously a man. But also.. something canine about you.. I'm guessing wolf class. Which could mean.. werewolf? Are you a werewolf, sir?"

He let out a barking laugh that was probably not too far off from canine when Damien spoke -- not because of his name, but because he immediately suggested he was a werewolf. "Whoo boy, you really do have a good nose for someone who's not a wolf yerself." He licked his lips and took a step forward once the boy stopped staring at him -- fucking creepy.

It was only fair to give the young man a name, since he'd given his own. "Fenrir Greyback." Now that he thought about it, perhaps the kid had commented on his 'journal' or whatever the fuck that muggle-run thing was.

Not part wolf? Well, that was sort of true. Damien shrugged, deciding to share a little. "Part jackal, actually. It's an interesting story.. as well as a complicated one." Besides, the good nose was from the canine part of him.. there were so much more talents in his demonic side.

"Greyback.." He searched his memory, then his eyes widened in surprise. Yes, of course! From the message board. And from that post made by the girl, which had a lot of useful information. This was the one who had turned Mr. Lupin, and who knows how many others back in their world.

"Right, you're that werewolf that the goody peeps are so worried about. So much past fear, so much chaos. I like it." He smiled. "I'm curious, do you know Bellatrix? I do. We had some fun before.. at a poor muggle's expense. I'd offer him as a meal, but I think you'd prefer a living target."

Fenrir's lips curled into a snarl when the boy mentioned Bellatrix. It wasn't that he didn't like the woman -- she was a damned fine piece of ass, he supposed -- but more that she wasn't very fond of him. Considered werewolves to be worse than vermin in most respects and thought of him as a dumb animal.

"Her an' I don't get along so well," he admitted readily, smirking, "but I'm liking the chaos myself. Not my fault if the bloody muggle-lovers take everything so seriously..." Sure, he hadn't gone out of his way to correct Tonks when she'd assumed she'd married him, but whose fault was that, really? Hers.

"Remy seems to be the only 'wolf around here that I recognize, sadly. I ought to change that..." Maybe turn someone. Several someones.

Damien laughed at the remark about the muggle-lovers. "I happen to be a muggle-lover myself.. I love to torment them. But you'd think they can handle a joke. Always so serious." He paused, then snickered as he just realized that it sounded like the name of one of those people that disliked this man.

He then said, "Remy is the only werewolf? Unfortunate.. I'd thought he would have accidentally turned a friend or two by now." He nodded then, adding, "New York, from what I hear, has a population of at least seven million. That's a lot of fucking people. Like so many insects scurrying about. I'm sure you could change quite a few of them."

Damien gestured with his hand and said, "Just stand in some alley near the business district, and when crowds walk by.. reach out and drag one back into the darkness. And then.. you can have your fun with them. Turning them.. or whatever suits your purpose. The big ones could probably feed you for days. Unwillingly, of course."

"I do love my fresh meat," he mused quietly, eyes half-glazed at the thought. The problem with Damien's plan was that it didn't take into account the fact that turning was a 'serious' thing to do, and that most werewolves at least liked to keep tabs on their new kin once they were turned. Fenrir had only ever turned a handful of people, but ...

"And I'd have thought he'd have turned his little boyfriend by now, but apparently not." Which was confusing in and of itself, because Fenrir certainly did his share of biting with Sirius -- perhaps Remus just hadn't had it in him. He licked his lips, watching Damien's face. He was admittedly ... curious about the half-jackal.

He nodded, quietly thinking that he liked his fresh meat as well.. though probably for different purposes than any werewolf would have for them. But then, that was Damien for you.

"Boyfriend, hmm? Sounds naughty. I've had my share of fun with people." He chuckled, as he thought of those two, although he'd never met them in person. "Too bad they aren't both werewolves. They'd have more in common."

He had the sense that he was being studied then, but didn't let on that he would have noticed. "I can turn others.. somewhat. Not exactly into what I am, no. I just turn them into.. service. Into people who would follow.. and obey. On the other hand, I can also make them commit suicide."

Damien shrugged. "Like I said, it's a complicated tale. Let's just say that my jackal side is nothing compared to the talents of my other side. Mine was not a normal birth.. I wasn't turned, I was born this way. I have quite a few tricks at my disposal as well." He might even demonstrate a few to Fenrir, if he was asked.

Someone who was born like they were. It was something that Fenrir had often thought about, since it would be a far less painful way to give rise to more wolves -- but it wasn't something he'd ever planned to follow through on. Better to just turn the children young and raise them properly. He smirked. "That's my thinkin' as well, but Sirius ... well, he's a mutt as it is."

Literally, if one considered his animagus -- but Fenrir didn't really know about that. He nodded, still curious. "Committin' suicide, huh? That's ... interesting." Something like an extended Imperius curse, maybe.

A werewolf.. and a mutt, though he wasn't sure if that was literal. Damien refrained from making a 'doggy-style' remark in jest, but he was still smirking about it in his mind. "Well, at least they have fun. It's always good when people indulge in their carnal needs. It's liberating."

Damien nodded, smiling at what he remembered of suicides. "Yeah, it usually happens if people find out about me or oppose me, usually priests or religious fanatics. Or if they need to be replaced by those who would follow me on their own."

He added, "I can also make things happen. Sorta like.. chain reaction. If something can break, then I can make it happen. It's how some of my enemies died. I can also, if I focus enough, make people suffer from random pain.. or become enraptured in joyous pleasure. Depends on my mood at the time."

"Dependin' on your mood at the time..." He trailed off with a smirk, thinking just a little bit on that bit. Pain or pleasure, depending on his mood ... it sounded a bit like how Fenrir treated Remus, but that was neither here nor there. He shook his head.

He didn't mention that he'd rather Remus have fun with him ... honestly, it wasn't Damien's business and that was more than a little creepy.

"Mm-hmm," Damien said with a nod, agreeing with him. "If I'm feeling a bit cranky toward a nosy reporter, or ticked off at another zealot.. well, someone is gonna be hurtin'. They'll hurt a lot. Like with that muggle.. he felt several things within him. Heart stroke, arthritis, internal bleeding, and a few other nasty things."

"On the other hand," he said with a smirk of his own, "if I am going out for a fun time in the city? I do the opposite of torment for them. Though if they start to get clingy afterward with that cuddling shit, I make them.. forget me. Or jump off a bridge." He laughed at that.

Fenrir felt distinctly as if he were going to roar with laughter at the boy's last comment. He grinned toothily and let out a low snort, "well, that's one way t'get rid of people you don't like." It must have been terribly convenient, Fenrir thought. It wasn't as if he hadn't fantasized about making certain Wizards just ... disappear. It would have made his life so much easier.

Damien laughed then. He certainly did have a dark sense of humor. "Oh yeah, it certainly is effective. And fun. But that's when I'm in a good mood. Imagine what happens when I'm mad at someone for trying to stab me with consecrated knives."

He smiled, shaking his head. "But yeah.. it is fun watching people suddenly want to jump from high places. What about you, sir? What do you do for fun? Any hobbies besides eating helpless people and enjoying their helpless cries of horror?"
