I just want to thank all of you who have purchased Permanently Insane accounts. I would thank you all personally, but there are so many of you that I don't have the time.
The support you are showing the site is unbelievable and I am going to do whatever I can to help make the site even better in the future. So once agian, thank you .. each and every one of you!

Thank you!!!
I cannot tell you how MUCH I love IJ and buying permenet accounts seems like the least I can do to help out (and I'm going for more when I get home!). I love the atmosphere here and just wanted to thank YOU again! You're very welcome. It's user's think you and the rest of the Permanently Insane that make this site a project worth doing. I'm feeling very comfy here and recc'd the perm accounts at my LJ. It's a real sweet deal, I hope lots more people get the word. Thank you! At the moment, I'm rather broke, so simply_ellie is responsible for my permaccount, but I do plan to buy some myself once I'm more solvent. As many as I can afford, really, and I brought over 25 roleplaying accounts and my "mun" journal, so that'll hopefully give me a chance to show lavish appreciation. I love it here. I love your policies and features, and Tweak is ridiculously cute (yes, I'm also planning on buying some things from CafePress once I'm solvent). I'd have been here years ago if I'd known about it; if there's one good thing Strikethrough 2007 did, it's that it made a lot of us aware of you. Unfortunatly that style is closed source and not part of the free distrobution. I'd make something similar to it, but I am more of a programmer than a designer. If you know anyone that is good for design, I am more than willing to barter for services. I've made myself a custom layer that replicates most of its features, after doing a little bit of research. Is there any way to make it available to other users? Possibly. Right now I really don't have the time to research it. But I will put it on my todo list and get back to you. Oooohhhhhh, pretty! Oh, sorry about that! I sent it to Derek... I'll forward you a copy, too. It's the 3-column layout and instructions for how to install and customize it. Much welcome. Looking forward to some good years, and getting my other two journals perms once I get the money up for them. I'll probably get a creative journal at some point too, when I have a job. I decided last night it was the right choice when I read this post researching the contents of the journals and communities still suspended on livejournal (including a survivor journal) and mentioning another community that was suspended without warning a couple of days ago. I can't be bothered dealing with that crap, there's so much less drama over here. I hope it stays that way. We've had our moment of drama but noting to the level that LJ is experiencing right now. Yeah, it's cool that we don't have to worry about that sort of thing here. It's much more personal. Hell, I still haven't heard back from GJ Support about their policies, and it's been nearly a week since I asked? I wouldn't even have a clue who's staff there, or if they even pay attention to the site. And we'd like to thank you, for being here as a very nice new home. Made the move from LiveJournal and very glad I did! I like the community feel at this journal site -- crazy is good. ^__^ Quite welcome, Squeaky. I'm a transplant from SixApart's LiveJournal site. After 4+ years of being a paid member there, I got tired of watching a repeating pattern of leaping-before-looking + user-backlash + damage-control from the corporate end. I would like to thank you, squeaky for giving me (and my typist - who will also be getting a permanently insane account for herself next paycheque) a comfortable home where I can enjoy my unlife and not worry about my journal being disappeared. If I were the type to squee (as my typist is) I would *squee* over the wonderful journal style she was able to create for me here. you are welcome and...
Re: you are welcome and...
When you go to insanejournal.com/update.bml there should be a drop down box at the bottom that shows all the asylums you are a member of. You can also go to the profile page of each asylum and click the pencil icon at the top to post to that asylum. It's my first day here on IJ, and I have felt nothing but comfortable and welcome here. I've been on LJ for three and a half years, and I have been looking for a new "online home" in case things become too Orwellian there in the name of corporate greed. I believe I have found that new online home in IJ... so much so that I've already purchased a permanent account. Thanks for supporting the site. We really appreciate it. We also hope we will remain your online home for a long time! I have purchased two permanent accounts and will be buying one more for a community. Thanks a ton!! We really do love each and every one of you who show how much you enjoy the work and time we put into running this place. This is old, but I just purchased a Permanently Insane account for my private journal, since it's the best place to update about whatever I want. I love this website. You do so much for us and really care. It's very refreshing. I'm eager to see how everything goes in the future! It's nice to be apart of it. :) I'm finally permanently insane :) i havn't brought myself to buy a perm at lj even though i'm a member there since 2002 but here, i bought one instantly. just because the deal is way better than ant LJ. i hope this site grows soon :) I have to admit, I liked my personal thank you. It was a nice touch, and made me feel very welcome and comfortable here. You are welcome! I love this site since I have moved over! :) Hi there, With the rapidly-multiplying servers, is there any chance of some sort of paid-user speedup? I have a vague recollection of LJ claiming something about paid users getting faster access and I think that there's some tool that facilitates prioritizing certain requests over others in the set of things that came out of LJ (among the tools like memcached and BML). I'm really more curious than anything, since the site always seems plenty fast to me. We don't quite have the setup to handle that. We are on leased servers, and I woudl need my own rack of servers and more efficient load balancers and stuff to handle that. yeah, i'm not surprised. i just thought somehow that i'd read that some piece of code that the old LJ people had hacked made it simpler, but that was probably wishful thinking. |
