FORTUNATUS
fortune favours the bold

It's 2027. Things at Hogwarts are (relatively) normal. Wizarding technology is starting to develop. Tensions, in general, are low. Since they don't have to fear for their lives, the students of Hogwarts create their own drama instead, like normal teenagers.

Fortunatus is a next-gen game centred around the element of luck. All characters are assigned a number, which is used to randomly determine each week who is lucky...and who isn't. Remember, fortune favours the bold.

opens july 1. are you feeling lucky?

TAKEN CHARACTERS || WANTED || THE VILLAGE || DROPBOX

There exists in a place outside of space and time, a land of pure magic. The magic of this world can be utilized and bent but it's will not broken by those who chose to occupy it. The magic has a will of it's own and while it can be harnessed can never truly be controlled.

Failed Attempts is a multi-gen displacement HP game. The game is set in a magical village, which exists outside of the world as the characters know it, yet has some eerily similar sights. The residents there must learn to tolerate one another and work together to make life work in this strange and unpredictable world.

If you're looking for a friendly community full of enthusiastic players and characters, then this is the game for you. Our emphasis is on character development and building a sense of community for our player base.

Sound like the game for you? Then come on over and place a hold. We'd love to have you!

The Second Wizarding War hit England hard. Tensions between wizards had never been higher. But the Dark Lord had been defeated, his Death Eaters scattered, killed, or arrested. The war was over but the worst was coming.

A curse nearly destabilized that peace. An entire generation threatened. The Ministry then took drastic measures to protect their future. Pairing wizards and witches regardless of blood status and according to reproductive potential. Their children were now the future. But disappearances, strange bodies turning up, and wild magic are again on the horizon.

This is a non-epilogue compliant Harry Potter game. The Trio Era kids are all grown up with their own adult children. Both generations are open for application. This is an evolving game concentrating on both storyline plot and every day social interactions.

The Last Station
Settle down. Set up shop. Or not.
Who We Are

The Last Station is what you get nine months after your regular town game and your Harry Potter post-war game meet in a bar for drunken shenanigans.

We are looking for creative and eager individuals who want to get involved in a collaborative community where plots are largely character-driven but mod support is available where needed. We're not fussy about how short or long your thread replies are, so long as they're what's true to your character. We like canon continuity but turn a blind eye on the epilogue (is there anyone out there who actually likes it?). We're slash-, het-, and femme-friendly, but we do also encourage the development of lines outside the romantic. We're in this to have fun, so we'll do our best to make sure it stays that way for everyone too.

If you have a muse who needs a home, check us out. We open on June 20th.

Wanted Concepts

The game has just been created, so it's a great big blank slate!

Available Jobs:

This is not your usual Harry Potter Next-Generation game ... this is an opportunity to develop trio-era characters' futures, their relationships (good & bad) with each other, and with their children: the next-generation. But on that note, take a chance and play a next-generational character that gets to interact with not only their siblings, friends, and cousins, but also their parents and relatives. We're looking for players interested in character and relationship development across areas -- familial, parental, sibling, romantic, broken, etc. Come & join us.

The year is 2001 and it’s been four years since He Who Must Not Be Named lost the war for control of the wizarding world. As the world moves forward and changes are being made, somethings will always stay the same. Young people just starting their lives will make mistakes of the professional and personal kind. [info]remodel is a trio era Harry Potter game focusing on the changing aspects of a post war wizarding world. A rebuilt Diagon Alley and a gentrified Knockturn Alley will set the stage for the lives of a younger wizarding world and their strive to make their own places in their world.

    1983

In October of 1981 Voldemort died at the hands of The Order after Regulus Black sold the Dark Lord's horocrux secrets to his brother Sirius. Henceforth, the Potters were spared their brutal death as were the Longbottoms from being tortured by The Lestranges into lunacy; Regulus' actions changed the wizarding world in more ways than anyone ever could have anticipated. Just two months later Barty Crouch Sr. came into office as the Minister of Magic with promises left and right of a stronger, better wizarding world that would rise from the ashes left behind by Voldemort into a new era of prosperity. But as with all leaders, too much power goes to one's head and within just six short months the Ministry changed drastically from it's former self right under the people's noses.

1983 is an AU Harry Potter community that borrows elements from The Hunger Games as a backdrop as to what can happen when too much power is placed in the hands of just one person - even those with the best of intentions become thirsty for more.

Leaky Cauldron: A Soap Opera [10 Jun 2013|03:56pm]
    leakycauldmod

It's been 15 years since the Battle of Hogwarts, and while all has not been completely peaceful in the Wizarding World, people have gotten on with things. Life. They've forged careers and built families, lived through political reformation after reformation, and the memory of Voldemort's reign has dimmed among the general public. Nothing has been forgotten, but life has a way of moving forward even if people want to live in the past. Those who are smart move with time, and those who are not stay lost in the past.

At the center of it all has always been Diagon Alley, guarded from the mundane world by the Leaky Cauldron. At one point or another, every witch and wizard has walked through the Cauldron, their lives a fleeting impression on the old walls. Secrets and lies, hopes and dreams, lives and deaths--everything has a connection to the Leaky Cauldron.

Leaky Cauldron is a primarily social game, with a slight twist. We will be playing as a rather soap opera-ish environment, and as such players should expect everything that goes along with it: evil twins, secret affairs, shocking deaths and even more shocking returns. Players will be responsible for driving plot forward, and everyone will be asked to contribute plot ideas and see them through. There will be minimal mod involvement in day-to-day plots, but there will be the occasional wider plot the mods will throw out to the characters and plays to drive the game forward.

Absit Omen: A Harry Potter RPG [01 Jun 2013|09:14pm]

    absit_omen

    || Main Page || Forum || Plot || Rules || How to Join ||

A decade has passed since the Battle of Hogwarts. For most of the magical world, life after the end of the Second War was been relatively peaceful. But even the most optimistic witch or wizard knows that no peace can last forever.

When an old man dies mysteriously in the Three Broomsticks, Magical Law Enforcement quickly dismisses it as nothing more than a tragedy. But was the death really an accident, or is something more going on? It seems that someone is interested in tracking down former supporters of Gellert Grindelwald, decades after the notorious Dark Wizard's defeat. Are they working "For the Greater Good," or do they have some other nefarious purpose in mind?

Meanwhile, the Tetrawizard Tournament pushes on at Hogwarts. Though Durmstrang has taken a strong lead, Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Salem Academy are battling hard to catch up. But there are just as many political moves being made behind the scenes. The goblins of Gringotts Wizarding Bank insist that the Goblet of Fire is rightfully theirs, and the Ministry must rush to verify their claim.

Elsewhere, there are hints of even darker shadows. The Wizarding Blood Alliance has been quiet recently, but the infamous terrorist group will surely not remain quiet for long. Add to that rumors of a dark magical circus trying to abduct innocents off the street and a brand new night club that demands absolute secrecy -- and sometimes even more -- from its members, and you'll soon hope that the ancient words of protection still work: Let there be no evil here.

Absit Omen: A Harry Potter RPG

Absit Omen is a Harry Potter play-by-post roleplaying game set in 2010. Writers may take up the part of original or canon characters from the Harry Potter series. For more information, visit our How to Join page.

Characters Needed: Hogwarts students, recent Hogwarts graduates, visiting students for the Triwizard Tournament, Aurors, criminals, Gringotts Cursebreakers, canon and original characters, and many more!

If you had one opportunity to change fate...

For three years, Rita Skeeter ruled over a village that existed outside of time and space as we know it. People of all ages, from across hundreds of years, co-existed for better or for worse, every day enduring her various torments - until one day, regardless of real-world affiliations, they all rose up against her. In the midst of the chaos, George Weasley found the ledgers containing the spells Skeeter used to create the village and bind it to her magic.

But without Rita alive anymore to sustain it, the village would soon crumble out of existence. Knowing that his twin's life, and many others' as well, hung in the balance of his decision, George chose to create a new village using Skeeter's ledgers, binding it to himself. For those who wished to return home, he gave them time to say their goodbyes. For those who chose to put their trust in him and stay, he started making plans.

George isn't entirely sure what he's doing most of the time, and the mistakes -- as well as successes -- come almost weekly. But one thing is for certain: George might be a joker, but he's not cruel. Those who come in fresh will never know the difference, but those who remember the days before George Weasley took over can rest assured that this time won't be anything like the last.

Fourteen Shades is an active, friendly game that is one year old. If you are looking for a game that is not going to close its doors any time soon, check us out! The nature of the game allows brand new players and characters to acclimate quickly and easily!

Several popular roles are open so now is the time to apply!
