INSPERATUS RPG
It is 1979. A war has been raging for almost a decade, headed by the one they call the Dark Lord. Chaos and catastrophe are commonplace. Fear is palpable. Trust is a luxury none can afford. The Wizarding community of Great Britain remains resilient to the continued waves of attacks carried out by the Death Eaters. The Ministry of Magic is holding strong against insurrection by Lord Voldemort. The Order of the Phoenix is opposing these dark forces in secret.
Life at Hogwarts remains relatively normal for its students, what with the war being waged outside of the safety provided by the castle walls. But for the children brought up during the latest Wizarding conflict, for those of whom war is a way of life, there is no real escape.
Everybody has an opinion. Everybody is involved somehow. Everybody will have to pick a side, if they haven't done so already. How long will it be before the battle erupts within the halls of Hogwarts?
Expect the unexpected.

In 1981 Peter Pettigrew kidnapped Harry Potter and brought him to Lord Voldemort. The resulting battle ended the Wizarding war. Harry Potter survived, as did his parents, but Voldemort was dead, Dumbledore was missing and presumed dead, and many Death Eaters and Order Members alike were in Azkaban.
Now, in 1999, the political tide has changed. Faced with the reality that exposure to Dementors is inhumane, the Ministry is closing Azkaban and granting all the prisoners a full pardon.
As the Wizarding world struggles to adjust, a new threat looms. People are being attacked by an unknown foe. Only this time, it isn't Muggleborns and their sympathizers who are in danger. It's purists.
Verso is a Harry Potter AU game that explores what happens when the tables are turned. Will the Order reform and defend known and suspected purists? Will the DMLE take the threat seriously? Will the former Death Eaters brush up on rusty skills to exact revenge? Will the threat be enough to bring Dumbledore out of hiding or is he really dead like the rumors claim?

Verso is just starting out, with full game plot to begin on May 8. Most characters are still available, including OCs with canon last names. In particular, we are looking for the formerly incarcerated, DMLE members, and purists. Extra plot is available for the formerly incarcerated if desired. Full lists of wanted characters as well as the current cast and holds can be found below.
There will be some driving plot, but the game will also be heavily character driven.

The Year Above is a long-term game which follows one group of Hogwarts students through their school career and beyond. Following the events of the books, the game emphasis is on character development and will provide the opportunity for a truly representative experience of the rise and fall of friendships, the highs and lows of growing up, and how 'ordinary' people are affected by war.
Last year, our little ones started Hogwarts, and they are now about to move into their second year. Whilst Gringotts reels from its recent break-in, Hogwarts prepares for the arrival of a very special student - Harry Potter.

| Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world.
Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.
You wake up on a cot to the distant cries of gulls and the sounds of the surf. The sun is shining in your eyes and it smells like seawater. When you sit up and look around, you notice that you're in a hut with three other cots, under which you spot several boxes, bags and suitcases. If you were to look more closely, you would notice that none of them have seams, zippers or any other obvious openings.
But perhaps that isn't your most pressing thought. Maybe that is reserved for the fact that you were in the middle of a wonderful bath, or an argument, or you finally got on a roll with that mountain of paperwork. Or maybe you're more focused on the fact that you don't know where your children are... or your wand.

| Failed attempts is a Harry Potter displacement game set in an unknown location, run by erratic magic, in an unknown time. Book-Canon characters (from the Founders through Next-Gen) appear from any point in their natural time-line and are forced to coexist while the world around them remains uncertain. The opportunities are truly endless.
We have been open since the 30th of May 2013 and are looking for creative new faces to jump in our sandbox and continue this wild ride!

| Beyond The Veil |

Premise The year is 2025. Europe has been swept by conservative governments, both in the Muggle and wizarding worlds. In the United Kingdom, purebloods see their entire world being overrun by Muggle culture. Purebloods band together. Slowly a backlash starts. The Order of Merlin is recreated, but Merlin's message of coexistence becomes a reason for total separation.
The Order is well trained, well prepared and well financed. Soon its members obtain positions of power, taking over the Ministry and the Auror department. Anyone opposing the new Order of Merlin becomes an enemy to be hunted down and eliminated. A new war erupts. The heroes of the last war are killed. Their children and supporters find themselves close to total defeat. With few options left before them, they do the unthinkable. They work out a spell to bring them back in time to eradicate the Order of Merlin.
The year is 2005. The world is a peaceful one, but the time travelers soon find out that time doesn't like it when people interfere. They are not in their own dimension, but a different one. In this timeline, Voldemort was killed in 1981 by Regulus Black. Traditions and progress have found an uneasy truce, bringing about prosperity for all. All of this is about to shatter as Members of the Order cross over, unaware that the rebels' mission has failed.
Game opens April 15th, and the first few weeks will be primarily a social game. The aim will be to get a feel for the characters in this setting and to world build. A major game-wide plot will pick up in May. Prospective players can see this post for more info. |
