I think my new icons calls for smut, y/y?

I'm still all giddy from watching SPN 4.10 last night and I have come to the sad conclusion that while I still love Ruby the character, I dislike the actress playing the new Ruby. I tried, I really did, but seeing *Ruby the character played by two other actresses in 4.09 really hit home how this current actress is completely missing the spark that made Ruby, Ruby. If they can get it in a few short scenes, why can't Genevieve?* Bah.

Though, the best part of it, was that I have a new idea for a femslash fic. *laughs* I love me some Supernatural femslash. Who knew?

My son's pretty gold egg need a little help. It only has 2.15 days left to hatch. All clicks will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

PS: Yay! The patch is off my eye, and it's not too bad. It's still a little blurry, but it's great to have two eyes again.

Beyond Canon has server/site scripts not getting along and they're switching hosts come January. The fact that Apprentices and YitL are listed as another authors work over there at the moment is directly a result of that. Not a plagarism theft issue. And Apprentices is going down with the host switch. THe mods there have archived with permission, I have never uploaded anything over there myself. I'm assuming it's a glitch as to who helped Calia upload the fics originally. At any rate--no need to fuss over that one.

Why you should have a look: I'm not even in the PSOH fandom, but rexluscus's fanart always makes me smile and tempts me to read the mangas. Her D is amazingly beautiful, all skinny and with that "made of porcelain"-look that I adore. In this picture, his eyes also deserve special mentioning. And the way Leon (who's quite pretty as well) is holding D's arm is, for some strange reason, absolutely sexy.

I'll admit, I love Dean and Sam pretty much equally so I could never understand how someone could be a Dean fan or a Sam fan and complain about the episodes being Dean/Sam centric and therefore their character isn't getting enough screen time. Um, it's a two person cast and your favorite character isn't functional unless he has his brother. No, really. We've seen time and time again how broken each brother is without the other. It may not be physical incest, but they're emotionally dependent on each other.

That said, it is far more easier for me to get into Dean's mindset than it is Sam. I don't know what it is, but it's true. I understand and get Dean's motives on the show and I love reading from his POV in fics. It's golden. Not that I don't love me some Sam and his POV fics, but Dean, I get. Sam is much harder. I know why he does the things he does, no hardship there, but feeling it like I feel Dean? Not so easy.

Why am I thinking about this? Well, I am currently writing a fic from Sam's POV because it needs to be told from his POV. ( spoilers for SPN 4.09 and probably stuff before it )

So -- apparently? Me + exhaustion + movie about whale evolution = fic to go with sailorptah's Doctor Who/Le Petit Prince art.

... also, it's in French.

Feeling Out Of Context

I feel like I'm BURIED in assignments....BURIED!!! ARGH!

I've got a frickin quiz tomorrow, which is open book, but still!! I feel like I should have made an effort to prepare, which I can't because I have to work on my Records Management assignment which is eating my soul, that's due Thursday. Plus, my Reference Professor (*growls*) posts an assignment late, then made it due Friday. Of course there's a Presentation I have Monday, which I'm not ready for *still needs someone to take photos*. Then of course there's a looming Term Paper and Pathfinder...oh! And a stupid blog benchmark for the latter due Wednesday. I've gotta work on a Project website tomorrow after class (but oh!!!! Congrats to my groupmates, Prez and Vice Prez of UB ALA...woo!!! Go them!!!). I also have to do a writeup for art commissions.

Tomorrow morning I volunteer for an hour, then zoom over to a birthday lunch for my mom with my grandparents, then quiz, then project, then hopefully getting pics, then class, then Wed work, then reflexology, then maybe time to work on stuff, then class...ohh!! Maybe Thursday morning I'll have time to do stuff!

When my brain explodes just be sure to keep the zombies away. Just you know, clean my brains up and burn 'em. I don't want no zombies eating the pieces. (I had a bizarre dream with zombies in it, no, they didn't eat my brains, but I was still disturbed.)

I have other things to post, but my brain is pretty stuck on school mode...we'll see when it let's up enough for me to recap on other stuff.

I've volunteered to manage the Saturday edition of femslash_today on LJ which I am excited about. I even uploaded a new icon for here and LJ to use. *points to her new icon* If any of you posts femslash on LJ, definitely let me know. Even if it's a post on LJ that links straight back to here or something.

The Yuletide fic is going along pretty well and if I wasn't so distracted by my game, I would have been finished with the first rough draft. Ah well. I am also keeping up with my sekret Yuletide entries that mctabby suggested in her post.

If you haven't seen my last post, I'm offering to do podfics instead of holiday cards this year. Any fandom, any word count, and I will host the podfic on my own site.

So, eBay update. eBay thinks I've made $26. But after eBay gets its cut, and PayPal gets its cut, and I account for the fact that eBay cannot accurately estimate shipping cost for crap, it's more like $10. (I've paid about $11 more in shipping than I've charged. I should probably start adding handling fees to cover the difference.) At least I'm coming out ahead, but .. I don't know if it's even worth it to list the Star Wars stuff, considering the time and aggravation. ... maybe I'll make melannen do it since she doesn't have a job. d-:

I loved my laptop's super-bright screen .. until it started giving me headaches and burning out my retinas. I forced myself to crank out a TDR last night with suns exploding inside my eyes. It got better about halfway through, though, but then I've had a headache for most of today. ... and, yes, I HAVE now turned down the brightness, thanks much.

My presentation isn't gone! So that's good! But I still need to review it and add things to it, and I keep procrastinating, and I'm probably going to suck just when I really should be making a good impression. Sigh. (I don't even know who the audience for this will be, actually. Students? Local professionals? How far do people travel to attend GIS Day at a community college, anyway?)

(I've put off any long-term desktop-computer-fixing until at least Wednesday night. I might set aside the drive that I'm pretty sure contains one corrupt partition for now; I don't know if I want to reformat the whole thing and then trust it with data any time soon. Maybe I can pull the 80G one out of the external case and slot it in as a secondary internal ... must see if I have the right size hex key, though .. and this is all assuming the motherboard isn't fried, or anything like that ... yes, I'm working on my presentation, quiet, you.)

.. finally, the obligatory yuletide flail: omg why did I say I would write in this fandom I have forgotten SO MUCH canon and it's so far outside of my comfort zone and I'm not worthy!!! Aughkhhhgh.
