Who: Donnie and Pamela (along with special guest, CHAOS)
What: ATTACK! ...leading along to an unexpected result. XD
When: Halloween night, during the party
Where: Out around the woods
Warnings: Fighting violence... and Donnie himself IS a language warning.

Somewhere out near the woods, away from the festivities, Donnie was on the run. What from, exactly, he didn't know. All he did know was that it was creepy, demonic, and out for his blood. Definitely not just some dude in a costume, either. This thing could fly. Frank had lead him right to its clutches, taking him from the party in a trance-like state... to meet his destiny. Or actually, as Frank put it,

To face chaos.

Whatever the fuck that was, it was pretty chaotic looking. And roaring. And bearing quickly down upon him.

Donnie didn’t even know what had snapped him out of it... but now that he was with it, he had to try and escape, didn't he? He couldn't just let that thing get him like fate apparently wanted. He could barely remember what he'd told Pamela before leaving, but he thought he might have weirded her out. Goddamn it. And he didn't even know what pathway to take, because something was fucked up- the silvery sphere that normally extended from him had split off into many directions. It'd never done that before, had it...

The future was uncertain, and that terrified him.

Chaos roared and charged through the night sky. That human thought it could escape him, but not for long. Some outside forces were at work here, allowing him release... and giving him the irresistible urge to end one life in particular. How could he not? This went along with his very purpose, the reason he existed...

Tonight, Vincent's protests in the back of his mind were quieter than normal... to Chaos' delight. It had been easy to take over once the other had rushed out of the party. Now, he could fulfill what he'd wanted all along. He would do away with first this human, and then turn on all the others.

Flying lower, Chaos caught sight of the white-clad figure running. Easily spotted in the dark. He charged toward him, striking out at him with his claws... missing the first time, but tearing a gash through his costume the second. Concentrating, Chaos began to gather energy for an even more powerful attack...

Pamela hadn't been weirded out, per se; it was more of worry. The way Donnie had left so quickly was worrisome, and after a short while of trying to decide if she wanted to follow or not, the former (for the night) ghost girl left the Halloween party to go look for the ghostly (for the night) boy. Of course, it wasn't easy to run for her, let alone in the sort of dress she was wearing for the night! "This would be easier if I could fly," she mumbled to Aion, who was trailing behind her as she ran along.

Of course, she wasn't finding any clue on which way he had gone, or where he might have gone period. Getting irritated, Pamela stopped and frowned. "Arrrgh, Donnie, where did you go?!" With a sigh, she stayed where she was, thinking about where he could have gone. She wasn't getting much, until some other students walked by her. Hey, wait, she could ask them! "Ah! Excuse me! H-hey! Um, have you seen a student dressed up as a ghost? He had a top hat, and is all white?" Oh, she was hoping that they would know where he was! Please, please have seen Donnie!

"Huh? Oh, yeah. I think we've seen him. Wasn't he going out toward the woods or something? He looked like he was sleepwalking or something." The first student looked at the other, who shuddered. "It was kinda freaky! I thought he was a real ghost with the way he was walking! He was wandering into the woods."

Pamela's pleas had been heard! Thanking the two students, she took off in a half-run out into the woods to look for Donnie. She didn't find him first, but she heard the sound of something flying overhead. Huh? It looked a little scary, actually! But it seemed to be chasing something, and... Wait. It was something white it was chasing! "Donnie!" Oh damn it, this dress was irritating! But she still chased him as best as she could. She'd help him yet!

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!" Donnie shouted when the claws tore through, making a gash across his chest. He didn't know what the hell he could do out here. He was all alone, and... and it sucked to be alone. Last time... well that had been different, last year, back home. Everything had come around full circle at the time and there'd been no answer but to go back to where he'd started and face the inevitable. But right now, he didn't want that. He just wanted away from the monster.

Tripping in his haste to get away, Donnie fell flat on his face, scrambling aside when claws swept in toward him. He thought he heard something... nah, it couldn't be... "PAMELA!?" ...But he had to be dreaming, or maybe hallucinating. He saw weird shit all the time, nothing new.

Chaos struck toward the boy again. Just a human. This would be too easy in ways, but Chaos hardly minded. The kill was all that mattered. He continued to gather power, strengthening himself as he hit the human with minor attacks.

Then, finally, he was ready. Chaos paused mid-air and focused, a faint image of a skull appearing between him and Donnie.

"H... happy goddamn Halloween to you, too..." Donnie struggled to get up. As much as he was trying to shrug it all off, he sounded more scared than he'd intended... something about that skull was way more ominous than he wanted to think.

..yep, just as she thought! It was Donnie! No one that she knew swore that much. "Donnie! Just wait, I'll help you!" She had to. Pamela didn't like the sight of that flying monster, she was going to do something about it. Pausing in her running, Pamela squeezed the stuffed bear's paw. Once she did, the bear's eyes went wide and its mouth dropped, before changing into an angry look and it took off toward Chaos. Aion flew directly above Chaos, sucking in air, and taking some of Chaos' lifeforce. While Aion did this, Pamela went over to Donnie, kneeling next to him. "Donnie! Donnie, are you all right? I'll keep you safe, I promise!"

It didn't take long for Aion to float like a balloon back to Pamela, who was now holding on to Donnie protectively and waiting eagerly for her bear to come back, complete with a lifeforce to heal the not-really-a-ghost boy (not so much herself.) Once Aion had blown out the lifeforce on to them, she promptly dropped back to Pamela's side. Of course, Pamela knew what she was going to do next. Hopefully that would have stunned this monster just a little, right?

The skull shot forth something that missed, as did most of the smaller flaming skulls that followed. There would be no instant death upon his enemy... yet. But before Chaos could regain focus enough to try again, something hit him and he felt a good portion of his life force drained away. Looking up, Chaos saw the bear-thing floating above him. Swatting toward it did nothing, however, and he flew out of control for a moment.

Donnie lay where he'd slipped, and didn't move until he heard Pamela's voice come even closer. He looked at her... and that was the same moment the bear returned, the lifeforce hitting him. Instantly, he felt all the aches going away, wounds healing. His expression turned surprised as he tried to figure out how that was possible... and then he saw Aion and it all came together. There were no words. Instead, Donnie burst out into a maniacal but happy laugh.

...The laugh was cut short when he saw Chaos swooping back toward them. "Pamela! Watch out for that thing, it's dangerous!"

Chaos wouldn't mind taking more than one life... so as much of a nuisance Pamela presented, he'd just have to deal with her as well. He came in toward them, slashing wildly with his Chaos Saber attack.

Donnie's sudden laughter hardly bothered her, but Chaos suddenly coming in toward them did! Ohh, this was certainly a time to be alive wasn't it?! Pamela let out a startled cry as Chaos came in toward them, with a "Don't come near us!" as she went to hide her face against the person she was trying to protect, taking a couple of hits from the wild slashing. Almost immediately upon her saying that, the bear's eyes lit up and went to intercept the monster with claws out and jump-spinning toward it. This monster would not hurt Pamela any more, not on its watch!

Upon landing, Aion returned to Pamela, ready for a command. It didn't take much for Pamela to send it back toward Chaos however, with a "You still want to help, Aion?" from her. The bear grew more than four times its size, again baring its claws, then spinning along the ground. It finished the attack with a jump with intent to squish the monster beneath him. Too bad it didn't quite work out that way, but at least she could say she tried!

"Donnie, are you all right? Come on, we have to get out of here." Pamela started to stand on shaky legs, pulling Donnie with her as she did so. There wasn't a lot of time between Aion attacking and possibly dazing the monster. She could get Donnie to run, and she could always stay behind to keep this monster at bay, if need be...

Aion's attacks were taking their toll on Chaos. The monster roared in fury when hit by the jumping bear. This wasn't going as he'd have wanted, but no matter. He wasn't about to be defeated... not unless he destroyed the humans in the process. More unearthly screams filled the air.

Watching Aion attack was kind of cool! And amusing to Donnie while in a state of pure hysteria. He was tempted to run, especially when Pamela said that... but he knew it wouldn't work much. The monster would keep coming for him until it had what it wanted. He shook his head. "I don’t know Pammy, I don't think it's gonna give up, no matter where I run..."

...and out of the corner of his eye, a certain bunny suited figure appeared. You can't fight the end.

It was quick, and Donnie was pretty sure he'd been the only one to see it, but he shook his head a few times. Last time this had all gone down, he'd lost Gretchen and then had to go back and face his own death. But... but Pamela was here with him and it had to turn out ok...! He wouldn't let anything happen to her! "No! No, Frank! No one's gonna die. Not this time. I don't want- I don't want it all fucking up this time! Let- let's go, Pammy, let's go!"

Donnie tightened his grip on Pamela's hand, ready to run and take her with him...

But just then Chaos roared again and once more, that skull manifested in the air. Flames erupted in the air around them as it unleashed its power.

"You can run, it's all right! I'll hold it off while you run away, it won't get you no matter what! I won't let it!" Donnie was her cute boy, and nothing was going to take him from her. Nothing. Not even this monster. The screams that Chaos was making was making Pamela cringe, but she wasn't going to give up. However, Donnie suddenly talking to Frank made her pause in what she said. "Wh... what? I didn't see anything, who-- Frank? Frank was here? Mm! But you're right! No one is going to die!"

But then Donnie was pulling her with him! He was going to run, then? Good. But Aion... she couldn't leave Aion behind! She got lucky with that, considering Chaos had roared and made her turn. Oh. Shit. She may not have said that, but she was certainly thinking it! "Donnie, get down!" She screamed, shoving him to the ground and covering him with her body. He wouldn't get hurt. It wouldn't matter if she did, she was still...

The attack hurt, and Pamela made it known that it hurt a lot. Moaning with pain, she pushed herself up with her hands. But out of the corner of her eye, she noticed something: through part of her hand, she could see the ground. Damn it, not now! But, a deal was a deal, and it was set to wear off at some time in the night. It seemed like it was a gradual process though, so she still had time.

Careful to not let Donnie see that she was turning ghostly again, the silver-haired girl got up quickly, grabbing Aion. "Come on Aion.... we're stopping this now! Please, help me!" Pamela dropped the bear to the ground, where it stood on its legs, but it quickly dropped to the ground, a surprised expression on its face. Aion, in her true form of a Mana, came circling out of the stuffed bear, and once out, a huge gem appeared from magic above her hands before flying toward Chaos to hit him in various forms of objects, including the teddy bear. Aion went flying toward Chaos as well, flying above him, gathering magic into her hands. That magic was aimed at Chaos in one huge blast of magical energy, in which the objects flew away from, only to disappear into thin air. Aion returned to the bear, which stood on its legs once more, ready to fight with Pamela if it took more than that.

"NO! PAMMY!!!!" Donnie panicked when the attack hit and she took on the majority of it. He couldn't let her be hurt because of him! Not when she'd just returned to life, and was supposed to be enjoying it, goddamn it. Why the fuck couldn't he be normal? If he were fucking normal he'd be with her back at the party right now, a bit drunker and having way more fun than this had turned out to be.

But he was helpless, and he hated it. He couldn't do anything. It was like Gretchen and the car all over again. Everything was crashing and burning, the future falling apart.

Then Aion suddenly shot out an even more powerful attack than before. Donnie watched, mesmerized.

Chaos' eyes widened as the gem appeared, already sensing the energy building up. All he could do was try to ward off the attack, using his wings as a shield. But it wouldn't be enough. The energy slammed into him with more force than he could withstand. He screamed in agony, all the other voices of the monsters and Vincent joining in. The disturbing sound countined a few moments more, and then died off into an abrupt silence.

As soon as the energy faded, Chaos dropped heavily to the ground and lay still.

"Y- you did it, Pammy!" Donnie grabbed her and then drew her closer, kissing her impulsively on the lips.

At the screams of the monster, Pamela covered her ears. It wasn't a nice sound to hear, but it seemed like the attack was doing something to this winged... thing that had been attacking Donnie. But... once her finishing burst was completed, and Chaos dropped to the ground... had she done it? Had she stopped this weird monster by herself? Pamela was used to fighting things off with her friends, and not by herself! This was... this was fantastic! She was already inwardly cheering for herself when Donnie started in with the same sort of praise to her.

Only his was slightly different. While there was a verbal praise, it got very, very physical: he had kissed her. It went along with his calling her cute at the party, but... this was. Well. At least it was the right time for a kiss! It took a moment, but Pamela finally returned the kiss, not minding it in the least. It was from Donnie, her cute boy who she was very glad to have safe and sound. He had been the reason why she had made her deal with Death, though she hadn't said as much to Death. Still, this was an unexpected surprise ending to the night for her! One that she enjoyed a great deal.

Chaos still hadn't moved from where he'd fallen, and Donnie assumed the monster was pretty much dead by now. His focus... really wasn't... so much on the winged beast anymore, anyway. It was completely directed at the cute, living girl in front of him. Over a year ago, and for some time after that, he'd been too hung up on Gretchen to even consider feeling like this about anyone else. But... shit had happened, time had gone forward, things had changed. Pamela was becoming the one person he always wanted some excuse to hang out with, and he'd always be looking at the walls waiting to see if she'd pop in.

After the kiss, Donnie moved back slowly, looking at her with a contented expression. "I've been wanting to do that for a long time, but the moment hasn't been right until just now." He couldn't explain it, but he thought he understood that whole thing about finding a moment when the world was beautiful. It sure as hell felt that way to him at the moment. That other time with the alternate Pamela hadn't counted, but this... finally it counted.

That was a... she was happy that she had gotten what she had been hoping for. It was... nice. As Donnie backed away, Pamela began to smile. It was a big, bright smile by the time he was talking to her. It could only grow as he spoke to her, and what he said made her practically beam. "Well... of course not. I haven't been alive before now. But tonight I'm glad I was. It was the right moment for sure~ I'm... I'm really glad I got to help you, and... and well..." Oh, this was harder than it was supposed to be, wasn't it? There was so much to say, so much to do, but there was no time this time. There probably wouldn't be another deal opportunity like this again, so it was probably best to say it now. It would probably be the only time she could do this.

Dropping Aion to the ground, Pamela closed the distance between them again, hugging him tightly. She knew at least her forearm and hand were ghostly now, and it was only spreading. "I really like you, Donnie. That's why you're my cute boy. It makes me wish I could be alive again, but... I don't think I can be. But but, that doesn't mean I won't keep liking you like I do now! You're my favourite." It really was too bad that she had to be a ghost. But had it not been for Vayne, she wouldn't be here right now. That was one thing she was grateful for, and would never wish for differently. Donnie probably would have never gone to Al Revis, so her leaving the alchemy school was a good move on her part, so she told herself. "I'm glad I came here and met you, I really am."
Everything she said made Donnie smile even more. It wasn't the creepy, possessed look he often got- this time it was a genuine happy expression. Maybe everything would be ok from now on. He somehow didn't think the universe or whatever was out there would let it be... but for now, he just wanted to enjoy being almost normal, goddamn it. So he hugged her tightly in return.

"I'm glad you came here, too. And I'm glad I came here." After all, it had been a pure coicidence that he'd ended up here. Some portal had just drawn him here at random, right at the instant that jet engine was crashing into his room. Unless Frank had something to do with it, but why exactly... he'd probably never know. He just knew he didn't mind so much that that tangent universe had collapsed. Not anymore. "And I'm glad you randomly came into my room to scare me that first time, that was pretty goddamn spooky, but also kind of cool... and... well, I mean all that shit about really liking you. I do. I like you a lot. And now that you're alive, well, maybe we can start going together for real? If you'd like that?"

Well, at least she got him to smile a lot! That was one good thing about this! Well, one of many good things about this. But when he said that she was alive... her smile fell some. "I want to, but-" Pulling away some, she finally showed off the fact that she was slowly going back to being ghostly once more: her entire arm now was see-through once more, as much as she didn't want it to be. "I'm not though, not for good. If I could be, I would! I want to be, even if I really like being a ghost too! It was only for tonight, but- but I wanted to surprised you, and..."

For as much as Pamela fake-cried to get her way over things (and boy, did she do that a lot), right now she was tearing up, and the tears were very much real. It had been a long, long time since she had even vaguely felt like this, considering how long it had been since she had been alive at Al Revis. She couldn't even remember what she died of, or what had killed her. But right now, the moment was the most important, and she was going to make it count. Pamela took one of Donnie's hands with her still alive one, and held on to it. She wasn't going to let go just yet.

...Oh...

Donnie's expression turned more upset as she spoke, but one thing had stuck with him. "Y- you did this just to surprise me? That... that's the best goddamn surprise I've ever gotten! I mean it, Pammy." At least there was that much. She'd done something really unexpected for him, and whatever she'd had to do to make it happen... it was all for him. That really impressed him.

"Goddamn it... no, don't cry... I don't care if you're a Ghost Girl or not, either. You're still Pamela whichever way, right? I mean, fuck, you surprised me and you saved my life tonight." Despite all his words to attempt reassuring her, Donnie himself was tearing up as he tried to hold onto her. But she was becoming more ghostly by the second... and all he had was her hand to cling to. He tightened his grip, not wanting to let go. He'd already gone through losing someone he loved. Fucking universe. This wasn't entirely the same, but it... it still felt like it.

"Of course I did! I wanted you to smile lots, and I wanted to give you a big hug, and... and it was easier to say that I like you like this." Pamela had to smile though. He was still happy, even though she wasn't able to stay alive like this for an actual life. " I'm glad you liked my surprise though. I even got you to smile." That was all that mattered.

Of course, she took a bold move and kissed him once more before that part of her became ghostly once more, knowing she should take full advantage of it while it lasted. As she became more and most ghost-like, there were tears, and there were lots of them. "I'm glad I got to be alive for tonight though. Even- even if it would have been easier to keep you safe that way. But, I would have taken any hit for you, no matter what! I've had worse done, but I want to protect you. I'll keep doing that too. It's a promise!"

GOD. DAMN. IT. Donnie couldn’t really hold back the tears, either, but at least no one was around who'd call him out on it. Just Pamela and him. He'd known that it seemed too good to be true, that she couldn't be alive just like that without a catch... but it had been great while it lasted. He returned her kiss eagerly, savoring every last second of it.

"Maybe... maybe one day we'll find some way to make it permanent. Who the hell knows, right? Anything could happen..." He clung to her for as long as he possibly could. "Thanks for that, Pammy, I know you'll do that. I want to be there for you, too... as much as I can." He'd try, anyway. He didn't have an Aion, though. Instead he had a Frank. Which could help only sometimes. Though now that he looked around a bit, he could see that silvery sphere was now back to leading in one way. The future was safe. Everything was in balance again. ...Even if he hadn't wanted everything to go back to as it had been.

Noticing something, Donnie wiped at his eyes to clear them and even half-smiled at what he saw. It was odd, but kind of a good thing. "Hey, look, your costume! It's staying on you, Pammy."

"Maybe. I'd like that. Then, I could hug you all I wanted~" That was a nice thought. Knowing that maybe someday, she could be alive, it gave her some hope. "I know you will. I appreciate it. You're good to me." He had been, pretty much since they had started talking. It was nice, knowing that she had someone she could really count on besides Jess around the academy, and that if she needed anything, Donnie could be asked too. Even if he was a little weird sometimes. Not that Pamela minded, of course!

Pamela watched as the last of her was swallowed up back into a ghostly existance: notably the hand that had been holding on to Donnie's own. She hadn't been looking forward to it happening, though she knew it would have to happen eventually. Still, as the ghost girl again began to cry, she nodded. "Mm... it's because of Rinoa that my costume is staying on. She helped me with it, and... and..."

Grabbing Aion, she shoved it into Donnie's chest, and promptly disappeared into the bear, which grabbed on to him in an almost-hug. It was the best she could do at the moment to hug him again without a life-filled body.

Maybe someday. Donnie knew that was the best they were going to get for now. But if he could ever get it out of her how she'd managed to do this in the first place, maybe it could lead to an answer? Or, shit, there was a lot around here that might help, all those magical people might know something... He was determined to find a way.

But for now, he just watched her... fade out again.

"It'll be ok." Donnie grabbed Aion and squeezed him as hard as he could. He didn't really want to let go for a long time. "...that's... it's cool you got someone to turn your costume like that. Another good surprise. Rinoa, you said? Don't know if I know her, but I'll have to thank her. Did she bring you to life for the night, too?" Maybe she'd tell him? It was worth a try. He kept his hold on Aion.

"N-no, it wasn't Rinoa," Pamela said. She sounded a little funny, considering she was currently in her stuffed bear, but it was her voice nonetheless. "I... I hope it'll be all right. I want it to be. If I could stop time, I would have too!" Staying like this was the best she could do at the moment. It was all she could do to stay like this, though. But after a moment, Pamela reappeared from Aion. Taking the bear from Donnie, she hovered in front of him for a moment silently. At least she had gotten good things from this, despite having to revert back to her ghost self.

"You were warm. I haven't felt that for a long time. Thank you, Donnie."

It may not have been something overly important to him, but to Pamela, feeling that was probably the best physical feeling she could have had, other than a heartbeat that fluttered when he told her she was cute, or the butterflies in her stomach that she had when he kissed her. Even still, she held Aion close to her and smiled a little. She'd like to feel that again, if she could, but for now, she would treasure that feeling.

Aw, goddamn it. Donnie didn't want to press her too much for the details for now, since it had been hard enough for her changing back. But he'd get it out of her later, he hoped. Still, at least she got to keep the costume as she turned back? It was one good thing that had lasted. He gave her a slightly confused look, but then understood the more he thought about it.

"You're welcome, Pamela. Glad I could do something like that for you. I mean, not that I really did much to make myself be warm, it just happens, but... glad you liked that."

Donnie looked around awkwardly, then finally, added, "I don't know if you still want to go together anymore, now... but maybe we still can?" It sucked so hard not to be able to touch her, but he also didn't want to think of someone else coming along and being with her like that, somehow. ...But only someone as weird as Donnie Darko could even consider going out with a ghost.

Of course she liked that. It meant she had been alive, and Donnie was too. Those were good things to her. Things that she wanted to keep, but could only have half of. But that was all right. Just as long as Donnie was alive and well, nothing much else mattered when it came to herself. "Mm, I did. It meant that you were alive and all right. That's what matters to me most right now." And really, it did. Usually she would have fought in a group and not tried to take something on by herself, but for someone who mattered...

Well, she was really dead anyway. It wouldn't have mattered much if that monster had 'killed' her, right? She didn't think so, at least. She would have just 'died' again, but probably not for good. She always came back; you couldn't kill something that was already dead, unless it was by exorcism. ...that had been tried once, and Pamela wasn't fond of it. So far, so good, though.

But at his question about going together, Pamela stared at him for a moment. "But- but Donnie, I'm a ghost again, wouldn't that bother you...?" Then again, if he had asked...

"Nah, it won't bother me. I've been thinking about it for a while now and... I think we should go for it. That's if you wanted. And... and like I said, someday we'll find a way to make you alive again for real." Of course, he didn't know how but he still wanted to try. It gave him something to focus on, anyway. Sure, he'd probably still get times when he really just wanted someone to touch and kiss and... all of that other shit he wanted when he felt horny. But he could take it. It wasn't right to come on to a girl too strong anyway, he knew that. He had always tried to be good and not go too fast, despite being the one who usually wanted to push things a little more, in his last relationship. So... he'd be ok with things like this. He told himself that it wouldn't permanently be like this, and that was that. With someone you liked that much you had to be willing to go through anything, right?

Donnie managed to half smile again. "Since I want you to be all right, too. So... I'll help you out, Ghost Girl. Anything I can do. You helped me out so much tonight." He felt like he'd have to do something badass in return. Unfortunately, the only badass things he'd ever done tended to happen more while sleepwalking... but who knew? Maybe something would turn out for the better, sometimes the weirdness worked out like that. "Say... did you want to go back to the party?"

Well. There was her answer, then! If he had thought about it, then it was all right, right? Of course. But Donnie saying that they would find a way to get her back to being alive again was like a promise to her, and Pamela really liked that. Maybe there was a way here that those back at Al-Revis didn't know? It was possible! So, in return, Pamela finally nodded with an approving sound. "All right! Then... then we can! That would be of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. Ehehe, it's Pamela-approved, and I get my cute boy in return~" Now she was fairly certain that no one else could lay claim to him. If they tried to, she would haunt them. It was a mental promise to herself. Of course, the same went for if someone tried to do something bad to Donnie as well. That was a given, of course!

...oh right, the party! She couldn't eat or drink anything right now, but that was all right. "Oh! Of course of course~" So, Pamela held out Aion to Donnie, fully intent on what would be holding hands with him, the proxy being her stuffed bear. It worked in her mind!

"Cool. Then it's for real. We're going together." Donnie wold be pretty pissed off if someone else tried to make moves on Pamela. Even if she was a ghost, she was goddamn cute, and friendly and a lot of fun to be around... all of which might get someone else just as interested. So now that this was settled, he was pretty fucking happy. Still a little sad, in some respects, but the way the night had gone overall, he couldn't dwell on it. Not right now. No, for now, there was more fun to be had! Halloween night wasn't done yet.

Reaching for Aion's hand, Donnie took it and squeezed it. So what if she was back to her ghostly self, he'd already had his fun there with her alive. They could still go have fun. Despite everything that had happened, Donnie still felt pretty energetic. "Oh, hey, you could go around scaring people. I mean, fuck, it's still the best night for doing that, maybe you can give me some tips or something on how to scare them... You ready to go back there?"

"Mm! It's for real, we are~ I like the sound of that!" It was really very nice, knowing that she had someone like that, even for a ghost like her. Seeing that he had squeezed Aion's hand, she did the same with a not-so-creepy giggle, though on his end, the stuffed paw squeezed back. It paid to have a mana, or maybe it was her own? It was a mystery, certainly. But his version of a date was one that was definitely appealing! This time, she let out an actual laugh, instead of her trademark creepy chuckles. "All right~ It can be a date! We can go back to the party for a little while, and then go out scaring people! I'll give you some of the best tips for that, promise!" And why would she pass up the chance to really show him how to scare people? It was always more fun with someone to help you, and even Pamela knew that.

So, leaning over some, Pamela let her lips brush over Donnie's cheek, fully knowing it would just be like cold air hitting there. But that was fine. It still counted. It didn't take her long to fly ahead a little, tugging on Aion. "Come on, let's go, let's go!"

"Fuck yeah! It'll be fun! Goddamn, you really are the best." Donnie was looking forward to this, almost more than hanging out at the party, but that would still be a good time. He shivered at first upon feeling the coldness of her kissing him... but then a grin spread across his face and he laughed a little. "Thanks, Pamela. And ok! We'd better get back there quick, so we've got enough time." He gripped onto Aion so that he could follow along with them. She'd even made him forget about the awful build-up to this night, and the attack that had happened not that long ago. Things were ok now, and they were going to get a hell of a lot better.
