Who: Jack Ryan and Shurelia
What: Shurelia making sure he's all right, singing to heal him, and just... singing. :|
When: After their conversation here.
Where: Jack's quad (Amaryllis West)
Warnings: ...excessive adorable? Singing. Hymmnos. LOTS OF TL;DR EXPLANATIONS FROM SHURELIA. :|

Once she had gotten the okay to go see Jack to make sure all was all right (though she would have gone, even if he had insisted he was just fine), Shurelia practically bolted out of her room and quad. Her quick pace to see Jack was halted temporarily, as she had forgotten to even put on her sandals in her rush. After tying the straps around her ankles, again she was on her way. Luckily for her, she wasn't far from the quad she was going to. Of course, later at night to find her way around was not as easy as she thought! If only there were a song to help her find her way at night, or at any time of day. As far as she knew, that sort of song didn't exist, and there was really no way to find out. But that hardly mattered at the moment. The only thing that mattered now, was to find Jack's quad.

After a few minutes of playing the Back and Forth game between buildings containing other students and quad names, Shurelia found herself at the Amaryllis set of quads. It was about time! And so, the Reyvateil started her run toward the West quad. However, her luck was not good in this instance. Considering the girl was clumsy in even singing during battle (and she vaguely remembered it happening earlier in the week), Shurelia slipped on some of the dirt that was present on the walkway, letting out a "Yah!" before pretty much faceplanting into the ground. Damn it, dirt didn't look good on a white sundress, did it? With a groan, she picked herself up and dusted her dress off, though not all of it came off so easily. Sigh. She'd have to wash it once she got home, and the scratches on her knees would at least be healed when she sang for Jack to heal him...

At least one thing would go right tonight, and that was to see that Jack would be all right after this.

Shurelia made it to the door of Amaryllis West without any further things happening, luckily. Jack had said that the door was open, right...? Still, it was rude to just barge in. So instead, she knocked on the door before opening it slowly and poking her head in first. "Jack...?" She would really only go into the quad fully when invited in, as per good manners. But once she was, Shurelia stayed near the door for the time being.

It had confused him greatly when Shurelia had begun to act so strange and all he wanted was to try and tell her that not all human beings were despicable people. Despite everything that had taken place with Atlas – no, Fontaine, Jack still rather held a high hope that humanity wasn’t all bad. There were people that disgusted him, people like his father – a man he’d never known, not even really today when he’d spoken to him. He’d just had the knowledge of things he picked up, heard and was told in Rapture. Even so, he didn’t like the man, especially not from what he’d said about his mother. Jack didn’t have to know Jasmine Jolene to defend her, did he? She was his mother, it didn’t matter to him what kind of profession she was in and what that made her – Andrew Ryan didn’t have the right to think of her as just some other whore on the tables. No woman in that job was just…

Shaking his head softly, he pressed a palm to his forehead, rubbing it gently. He didn’t want to think about it anymore. The way their conversation had come to a close confused him more than he could come to understand. He chose, however, not to think about it. There were bigger things at hand for the moment and his father would be tossed on a side burner, with any luck that side burner would light him on fire and Jack wouldn’t have to deal with him anymore. He wasn’t fully happy with him being there and the reason wasn’t all that clear to him, Jack didn’t want to know either. If it was something on the same page as building a new Rapture, Jack would see that it was brought to an end.

Having woken up in the infirmary after the incident was rather confusing to the young boy grown man. He could have sworn at the time that he had fallen in his room. While in the medical pavilion, he’d managed to get better with the help of the nurses there as well as Miranda Lotto. The nights were what bothered him, though. There was a face that continued to haunt him. The face of a man that he couldn’t fully remember, he was sure that in Rapture he had seen the face somewhere but it was hard to make out anymore. It was for that reason that Jack had ripped chords from his body and tore needles out to get back to his room – besides, the girls needed him and all he really needed (or so he assumed) was just a shot of EVE and he’d be fine.

Seated in the common area of the quad, the girls asleep in bed, Jack’s head was buried into his hands. The face of the man haunted his dreams still, there was a woman – but he’d placed it together that the woman was Doctor Tenenbaum, he’d managed to recognize her so why not the Asian man that prodded at him in his mind?

“Break that puppy's neck—would you kindly…”

He jumped, suddenly on his feet. His eyes jumped around the room, searching for the voice he’d heard. He found nothing, nothing but a knock on his door. Brushing his fingers over his skin, he sighed, closing his eyes tightly for a moment but smiled as Shurelia poked her head into his room.

“Sh-Shurelia,” he motioned for her to come in. “C-come in…?”

Jack may have been smiling, but Shurelia was not. Was he all right? He didn't look it! Besides the obvious of her flinging Song Magic at her (from what she could remember), was there something else? She gave him a searching look, trying to figure it out, staying at the door after she had closed it. Was something not right? The frown turned into a look of worry instead, and she took a few tentative steps forward. "Jack? Is everything all right?" But there was the problem of him telling her if something was not right. Would he? Shurelia wasn't certain, but it was worth a shot. She just wanted to help, really!

However, she hardly waited for an answer before crossing the distance from the door to where he was. It was easier to see up close than from the door, after all! Somewhere in the back of her mind, Shurelia was amazed with herself and not tripping over her feet as she went to Jack, but it was quickly overridden by the fact that she was worried about Jack and his health. "Shouldn't you still be resting and getting better, too? Mm, though, I guess part of that is my own fault, for coming here and interrupting that." She felt a little bad for that, but her desire to see that she hadn't harmed Jack was great; it hurt her that she had hurt a human for any reason, especially one that had only been worried for her. While a Song couldn't heal how he felt mentally and emotionally, at least that she wanted to try to sing, she was here to heal any physical wounds. She would ask him soon, after she had sung for him, as she said she would.

"I promised I would sing for you. I can't leave until I've at least done that. I'll ask after I've sung for you. I can't break my promise to you." Shurelia smiled a little, and stepped back a little. At least this time, her song wouldn't hurt him. This would be very different than her normal song for healing.

"Was yea ra chs hymmne mea! Ieeya mea irs sos yorr. Dralee mea dsier yatse falfa yor. Was yea erra ieeya mea!" As she started singing, the Song Magic began to materialize in a burst of light. The light changed to the form of a girl in a short, purple kimono with hair and shoes matching in colour, holding a flute. The girl would play the flute, beginning the healing process of the magic. The more Shurelia sang the song, the more the magic evolved. The girl's legs grew longer and she changed to a sitting position, legs crossed, still playing said flute. The next phase, a small taiko drum appeared on one side of the flute-playing girl, and then a larger taiko drum on the other side of her when the magic evolved once more.

But the singing didn't stop. Shurelia, however, was getting visibly tired, but her desire to make things right from what she had done was overriding things. Finally, the Song Magic broke, as the reyvateil was out of magic to keep the song going, and she swayed some before catching herself.

[the hymmnos reads: "I will gladly turn myself into a song! My wish exists because of you. I offer my desire to give you peace. I want this wish to last eternally!"]
