Porn Battle

It's August 1st where I am, so this porn battle is officially CLOSED!! :-)

Now I get to go back, re-read all your delightful stories to make sure I have links and names right (oh, such a hard job I have), and put them in order. I hope to have a master list up by mid-week (some of these stories need multiple re-readings *grin*).

For those of you who wished to post prompts anonymously, check the prompts because there are some corrections that need to be made before they can be added to the list.

This is for *our* convenience and not to make it more difficult for you. Failure to correct the prompts listed will result in them not being added to the list.

Today is July 1st which means - Porn Battle is now open!

Just a recap of the rules including the new ones:

For the sake of administrative ease, prompts follow a certain template:

fandom/fandoms (spell out the name of your fandom/s and if it's a crossover please start with that word), person/pairing/moresome, prompt word(s), prompt lyric/quote (optional)

For RPF, please don't give us specific RPF fandoms, but please do tell us if it's based on actors, music, sports, or other. (If you don't give us a category, we'll assume it's "other". We're only human -- we don't know who every celebrity is!) Honestly, if someone is going to write a RPF, then they probably already know the career of the people involved.

Some examples:

RPF (actor), Viggo Mortensen/Dominic Monaghan, fatigue
RPF (sports), Reggie Miller/Mark Jackson, brotherhood
Stargate: Atlantis, John/Rodney/Ronon/Teyla, outsider, I am just a poor boy/though my story's seldom told
Stargate: Atlantis, Teyla/Keller, readiness
Crossover: Stargate: Atlantis/Stargate: SG-1, Elizabeth/Sam, fruity umbrella drinks
Crossover: Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Supernatural, Buffy/Sam/Dean, competition, Anything you can do/I can do better/I can do anything/better than you

Dissidia Final Fantasy. As this is a Final Fantasy with characters therein, I would seriously prefer if prompts for it were posted as Final fantasy Dissidia, thus allowing it to take its place in the Final Fantasy line up.

Prompts will be limited to 30 per person. This is to keep us from being flooded by a select few, and everyone thinking "Oh, my prompt has already been posted". While I know people can add more anonymously, we're going by the honor system here.

You have until July 7th to get them in and then after that, you will have until July 31st to write your porn.

EDIT: PORN BATTLE PROMPTS WILL BE EXTENDED UNTIL MONDAY, JULY 12! Let everyone know and even advertize to get those last minute prompts in!

EDIT EDIT: PORN BATTLE PROMPTS ARE NOW CLOSED!!! I will be accepting the correction on the prompts but that is it. After I have recieved the corrected prompts - You have until tomorrow Midnight to get them in - I will send the list to the other mods for posting.

All right, ladies and gents, here are the new specifications to Pron Battle!

After listening to your comments and talking with the other mods, we have decided to give you what you want. Prompts will be a week long for submission and the stories will be three weeks long in submission.

That's right. Porn Battles are now an entire month long with a majority of it being dedicated to the writing.

That said, the next opening date will be July 1st for prompts. PLEASE read the asylum information on how to do prompts. Especially RPF and Crossovers.

Also, as a mod, I am laying down the law when it comes to Dissidia Final Fantasy. As this is a Final Fantasy with characters therein, I would seriously prefer if prompts for it were posted as Final fantasy Dissidia, thys allowing it to take its place in the Final Fantasy line up.

If anyone has any objections to this, post a comment with a coherent argument and I'll talk with the other mods to see which way is prefered.

EDIT: Two things!

Second: One of our participants has offered to start a Graveyard. This will be where the prompts that are posted battle after battle but never written will be posted for anyone to pick up at any time. More information will be coming about this when we recieve it.

SOmething else I've been thinking about. The participation is down a bit more the last couple of Rounds. Would it be more beneficial to everyone if we started doing every two months instead of every other month? One of the other mods pointed out that the every other month kept it falling on other busy times. Especially for students.

If we go every two months, the schedule would be as follows: January, April, July, October. Leave a comment here on your feelings about shifting it to allow that extra month.

Forgive the sudden post, but I just looked at the calendar and realized it was time again.

So! You have until 12:01am on Tuesday March, 9th to get your prompts in. They will be collected and soon after that deadline, posted for your porning enjoyment.

Just an FYI on posting: the formula is: Fandom, character/character, prompt
If it's a Real person fic, the fandom is RPF, character/character, prompt
Also, all of the fandoms that have numerals in the title, such as the Final Fantasies, should be depicted by Roman Numerals so Final Fantasy 7 would be posted as Final Fantasy VII.
