Activity Checks, as always, will be once a week. However, to simplify things on the Mod end, activity on the Player end is once a week. If a character is listed in a Check, that character has until the next Activity Check to be active. In essence, if the character didn't update the week before, they essentially have 14 days to be active, at the most. I hope that makes sense? If it doesn't, leave a comment and I'll do my best to elaborate or clear up any confusion.
LOCATIONS
I really, really need the info I asked for in this post. Please submit it to me by next Sunday (2/9/14). I just need a few sentences, ya'll.
CHATZY EVENTS & SESSIONS
Chatzy Event → Elijah's Break Out: Those of you involved in Elijah's Break Out, this is to remind you of it's continuation this Tuesday, Feb. 4th at 8pm Eastern. Please be in the room by 7:30pm Eastern if you can.
Chatzy Session → Brainstorming: A brainstorming session will be held this Wednesday, Feb. 5th at 8pm Eastern. I'll be in the room at 7:30pm to answer any questions. Please come with the intention of submitting and tossing out ideas to the room to be discussed and possibly implemented. It is preferred that these ideas to be applied to the whole comm, not a select group of characters. But, don't let that deter you from speaking up with an idea if you have one, even if it involves only a couple characters.
ALSO...
Don't be afraid to post storyline ideas to the OOC. If there is something specific you want to do with your character, don't hesitate to speak up. Someone is bound to hop on your idea and work with you. :)
TAGS
I have gone through the entire IC comm and updated the tags list. When you're tagging your scenes, please make sure it's done as thoroughly as possible:
The tags you use are basically the same as your scene header. Who is in the scene? ("isaac holt" & "vivian kerry") Where is it taking place? ("t30: holt tower → isaac's office") What is the rating of the scene ("rating: tbd") and what is the status of the scene? ("status: in progress"). In regard to the When of a scene, game-play is always done in Real-Time. If it's Monday, March 3rd in RL then it's Monday, March 3rd, 2502 in-game. However, if ya'll want to experiment with a week, two weeks, a month equaling one day then I'm game, but it's up to you (this is just an idea I'm tossing out).
I have re-organized the status tags:→ status: in progress. Active scenes should be tagged with this status.
→ status: complete. Scenes that have been wrapped up and completed.
→ status: closed. This applies to scenes that have been dropped or to narratives that are not open to other players.
POSTING TO populouspostea
Anyone that is hesitant about what to put for the scene header, here is a template for you to use:
I would prefer that everyone use this template when starting scenes, but it is not required. Additionally, as a reminder, here at PoP we do not use the Reply link when tagging scenes. Always click the "Post a new comment" link and tag the scene that way which is all well and good, but you're probably wondering how you'd get notified of new comments, yes? Tracking posts is very handy and can be done by clicking the Track This button () at the beginning of the post. It'll take you to a new page and make sure that the "Someone comments on an entry in populouspostea box is checked, the Email box is checked, and then you can click the Save button. If you noticed the other options, I strongly encourage players to choose their CDJ, or other main journal, and check the "Someone posts a new entry to..." and do it for both the IC and OOC comms. You should, theoretically, be notified via email of whenever a new entry gets posted.
Again, this is not required, but a preference on my part for tagging scenes, but if everyone could use this template, that would be nice:
I think that's all I've got on my mind at the moment. As always, if you have questions, just ask. :)
