Hello everyone and welcome to Potter Organization Of Fan Ficcers (POOFFS)! I am your friendly Mod, and co-organizer of POOFFS, Swanky. It is nice to meet you all and I hope to see you a meeting soon!
We are an easy going community. We want fanficcers of all makes and models to join us in our love of fic- male and female, slashers, het writers/readers, those who loved the epilogue, and those who couldn't stand anything past that horrible part where Sirius dies. We welcome you all! We ask only four things of you:
1. Please do not join if you are under 18. We will be checking for age statements on each profile before accepting anyone into this community. We don't want to mean and exclude the younger fan ficcers out there, but we also don't want to have to worry about silly things like cuts and letting the kiddies get their hands on things they shouldn't. o_0
2. No flaming. We just won't put up with it. We're a friendly group and we don't want anyone raining on our parade.
3. Friends-lock all adult material. This includes links to any NC-17 stories or pictures. We encourage you to post about your favorite stories, any art to go with them, or anything HP really, but we need to make sure the kiddies aren't getting more than they can chew. ^_-
4. Use the lj-cuts. Please use a cut if posting anything of any real length or when what you are posting is NWS. Anything with an NC-17 or mature rating should be put behind a cut. Anything that you have to scroll to read should be behind a cut. Any pics bigger than three icons should be behind a cut. Other than that, we really don't care. If you do not know how to use an LJ-cut, please check here.
Now that I have the modly things out of the way, let me be the first to properly introduce myself! I am Swanky, and I am a Slasher. Big time. lol. My good friend Casidee- our other co-organizer- isn't just a slasher and reads a lot of het and gen, so don't worry about this becoming a slash only community. We love all fic, and all of you. I mostly read/write Snarry, and most of what I write is on the darker side. I am quite perverted and enjoy making the boys squirm, but I like a good plot and well developed characters and relationships, too. ^_^
I'm also sort of a stickler for the silly details. When someone says that Snape is turning 60 the year Harry turns 20, I get a little annoyed. lol
As a mod, I have an open door policy and it is really hard to get me mad. If you break one of the rules, I will have to go all Molly Weasley on you, but other than that I'm really very easy going.
I'm very excited to meet new fanfic friends, and I hope everyone has a beautiful day!
