Andy's van keeps turning into a bar.

He wouldn't mind so much -- hey, this bar's a pretty sweet place, if you don't look at the view for too long -- but he wants to smoke, and the last time he asked Bar (and boy, was that difficult to get used to), anyway, last time he asked Bar for dope he got a picture of a cartoon dwarf.

"All right, all right, just gimme a mocha. For free," he adds hopefully.

The drink appears with a note reading: Nice try.

He sighs.

that bar thing again...

She's awfully, thin, the girl that enters the bar just now. Thin with long long hair that has bits of it dyed blue.

And she shakes a bit strangely. But it's not as strange as the look she gives this place. "The kriff?" She murmurs, taking a few hesitant steps forward.

Weird. This wasn't the apartment.

It was better, obviously.

multiversal bar? that one.

Tony Stonem's carrying a toothbrush when he walks through the front door, an early morning British street his backdrop. For a moment, he's too busy running his tongue over his teeth to realise this isn't his house.

"--oh. I see."

He stops in his tracks to look around, taking in the bar in a thoughtful and rather calculating manner. Then he shakes off his toothbrush and pockets it, takes a step forward, and puts his hands around his mouth to shout.

"Anyone want to tell me where I am, then?"

The Scientist is depressed.

He tries so hard! And she never appreciates him. She - he can't remember her name this week, Scarface forgot to write it on a post-it and the Scientist wrote over the lsit of names when he got the idea for a device to measure the amount of fear in people, and calibrating their maximum fear level - doesn't bother trying to be less afraid of him, which is where he got the idea for the maximum-fear modulator, but then she scorned his present and it just seemed much more logical to come to the bar and take some time away from Skullcrusher Mountain. The wolves were starting to get on his nerves.

So he was sitting in a booth, sulking, with the half-pony, half-monkey monster moping beside him, drinking milk out of a saucer.

[The Rabbithole:Ai-Ling/Miki]

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The South Pole is really cold. That's what Ai-Ling decided within seconds of Appa setting down on the ice. It's cold, but there are seals and penguins and Miki. And this last one's the most important.

There're also sisters in law and fathers in law and mothers in laws and aunts in law and more family than Ai-Ling's ever had in her life. This manages, just about, to make up for the cold.

Sometimes, though, she still gets homesick. And sometimes she gets really sick. And this morning, when Miki left her feeling sorry for herself to join the early morning hunt, she decided to pay a visit to her new mother in law and sit and talk for a long time over tea. It was rather overwhelming, actually, and Ai-Ling ran away quickly after Steph kept hugging her.

Now she's alone in their own hut, having set the fire and done all the things she's supposed to as a good wife, huggin her knees and staring at the door, waiting for her husband to return.

Louise could, theoretically, get used to this Bar deal. She has somewhere to sit (an armchair by the fire) something to drink (something called a 'smoothie', which she is definitely going to make the chefs in the Fire Palace look into making) and the company of absolutely no one who's going to disapprove of her slurping with her straw at the bottom of her glass.

So what we can be said to have here is a 17 year old girl in red and gold silks, lounging back near the fire and really really enjoying her drink.
