It meant plenty, more then he let on actually. With a small, forced smile, Anthony took the seat he was offered. He sat closer to Romilda then what the amount of room left on the bench said she wanted. He didn't care. He was going to be nice. He was. Their arms brushed, and Anthony suddenly felt a little bit warmer on the side that she was touching.
"I'm... I'm s-sorry too." He'd been a real dick to her, and he did feel bad. She was still a strange one, but Ioan loved her. Anthony figured he could learn to like her strangeness. He twisted his neck to look at her, but didn't attempt a smile again, it was clear in his eyes that he was being honest, but a smile was just too much work right now.
Anthony wasn't trying to ignore Demelza, but he didn't know her all that well, and really didn't have much to say to her. He wasn't up to starting random conversation as he normally would have on his own.
