Septima preceded Luna into her office automatically, barely noting the courtesy that many students these days forgot. She was focused already on the bound stack of notes on her desk.
Sitting down at her desk and gesturing Luna to the opposite one, Septima passed Miss Lovegood her own notes before sliding the girl's own notes closer to pour over.
Septima's office was an extension of Septima's own rooms, and as such her life creeped into it during times of stress: a scarf here, an abandoned pair of shoes there. On her desk was a dish with strong sweets and she absently offered one to her guest. "The house elves should bring lunch momentarily," she informed her student, already turning pages.
