Icon Rules & FAQs

• Unless I note where bases or screencaps come from, I either did them myself or found them through Google.


• Race v. Ethnicity:
  • Race refers to the color of a person's skin. I have used three basic tags for race: white, POC (person of color), and unnatural (blue, green, etc.). This tag is subjective and will largely depend on my interpretation, as well as the role. Someone may be tagged with more than one race tag.
  • Ethnicity is about a person's actual ethnic background. This is more detailed. You can be white and Italian or Russian, etc. It's also where I get into detail with what classification of POC someone might be. I get this information through Google searches and am a big fan of the site EthniCelebs.
  • If I get a race or ethnicity wrong, do not attack me. I'm not a geneticist or an anthropologist. I'm a white chick living in Tennessee using Google. I can only do my best. Please feel free, however, to drop me a note privately or on an entry with more information and I'll be happy to update my tags if need be.


• My icons are not bases. If you would like to edit them, ask first. I'll probably say yes, it just depends on what the edit is. I'm pretty much cool with anything, I just want to know what's being done with my icons. Also, if I approve edits, I do require I still be credited.


• Requests are always open (probably), but I make no promises and I'll do them in whatever order I want. It'll go faster, though, if you can link me to a big gallery or a link to screencaps because I don't currently have the ability to easily screencap myself.
