The cerulean sky complemented the twinkling royal lights illuminating the path to an impressive reminder of her childhood summers, before she knew she was a witch, before there was a war. She shook off thoughts she vowed to keep locked away. Just like the turning wheel ahead, life was ever-changing.

It was a new year, a new millennium. It was time to leave the past behind. She felt as if she were standing on a precipice, debating whether to jump or retreat.

“Hermione?”

She smiled as George approached.

“Are you ready for a ride?”

More like a jump, she decided.
