People think dungeons cold, their stones dank, their air close. They forget about brick ovens where temperatures soar, trapped in seamless prisons. They forget the eternal roiling turmoil where fiery liquid earth forges these very stones. They forget that the Wizengamut has a reason for everything, and that the Ministry's sweltering holding cells are simply another way to mark a doomed man's passage on the way to the gelid walls of Azkaban.

Harry stands, wiping sweat from his forehead, saying nothing. His sleeve glistens as he points his wand and utters the word I crave more than any other.

"Alohomora."
