I am so sorry to do this but I must end this game. There have been a few personal issues that prevent me from modding this game. _oldways recommended this fantastical game to me, and I'm glad to be a part of it! :)
This, here, is Eli James, the town's doctor. Like the pre-made description says, he's got an unhealthy addiction to Laudanum, among other drugs. He's likely been addicted to Laudanum since returning from the front lines of the Civil War, so it's certainly taken it's toll on him after these past several years. His hands are definitely shaky, and he spends a lot of his time passed out and/or sedated. He functions, and he gets his job done... he hasn't messed up-- yet.

He means well, probably needs a hug, and needs any and all SLs!

I welcome scenes, and just about anything you can throw at me! Plots? ideas? GIVE THEM TO ME, PLEASE! :)

I know a lot of people are dealing with illness and hecticness; would just like to extend the offer that if anyone needs to vent, wants to chat, or up for sceneing, I'd happily oblige.

There's been reports of people being sick and having a crazy week. So please don't fret. I think things will pick up with activity. My own baby didn't feel good yesterday and just wanted to be snuggled.

I can't tell you how excited I am to have stumbled on this little gem. My name's Erin, and after taking a gander at the contact list, I feel like I just walked into the Twilight Zone of Win!

I'm bringing you Grey Cloud; modeled after the archetype of the Medicine Man (though she may sometimes don some buck-skin pants and a hat from the sun - she is a woman). She's an Arapaho Shaman woman who's village was wiped out mysteriously when she was very young. She's spent most of her life in isolation located in the Black Hills and can be a little ...off. She sometimes talks to herself, both in Arapaho and English. She seems to see things that aren't there (and converse with them). You know, typical eccentric hermit things.

She likes to be accessible to Reaper's Gulch, though won't actually sleep in it's borders, so if you're character needs a cure for some obscure disease, smoking herbs, hallucinogenics, or witchy-things like hex bags and advice on how to ward off the less-friendly invisible things she talks to - they can find her a half-hour's ride from the town limits.

Just be sure to bring payment.

Whoa! What the shit! I go on vacation and check this place and it exploded. SO YEAH, HI. I'm Kim and I recently left for Florida and am there now but I usually live in DC most of the time. I also play Marielle the Southern Belle and I think it's so great her name/description rhymes. She's addicted to opium/cough/syrup/whatever and wants to mack on The Blacksmith (whom we don't have, I don't think - boo her significant lack of ass, currently) but her BFF is the doctor because he perpetuates her addiction and she has a brother called The Southern Gentleman whom we also don't have but hey that'd be cool if we ever got one!

Um. What else! I know some of you and some of you I do not but I would like to know everybody so even if you don't want plot with Mari then just wave and say hi or something! I work for the government and it sucks and I like colored socks, dipping fries into milkshakes, and bubble baths.

Hello all! So excited by the looks of this game and your intriguing characters. I'm Caitlin, pulling the puppetstrings on two characters. I realize I should really be putting up more character info, but for now hopefully these snippets will suffice:

The Barber, Joel Campion. He's affable, people-pleasing, and fun-loving, but he definitely loves gossip and is always on the make. He's very careless with his money and is typically open to any schemes of a monetary nature, although he generally has good intentions and doesn't actively seek to ruin anyone. He's a terrible shot and not terribly brave to begin with, so no gunslinging for him! His built-in character connections haven't been snapped up yet, but I'd love to discuss his relationships with everyone since he's been in town for years.

The Soiled Dove, Virginia Clare. She's a fallen woman that's never been entirely respectable, since she's descended from actors (the horror!) and gamblers. Still, working at the saloon is a step even further down the social totem pole. She's surprisingly upbeat considering her lot in life and even philosophic about it, but hasn't been able to entirely quash her romantic streak-- the description has her only having eyes for Someone She Shouldn't, so any of you playing nefarious men let me know if you'd be up for it! She also has connections with The Undertaker, The Preacher, The Knight, and of course Miss Kitty that I'd love to flesh out.

Sorry for the massive text! Let us get to backstorying and fun-having!

Dearest Friends Both Old And New,

My name is Marty and I bring to you The Cheater. He has gone by the name of Reno Winchester ever since he made his venture west (after an unpleasant situation with his family and a certain inheritance he did not receive.) Of course, being born with the name that he was, it's not a wonder that he went for something with a little more snap (and a lot more masculinity.) He's not so right in his head, as those who know him well are quite familiar with. He seeks enjoyment out of figuring out the cons of others and manipulating them to his own means. But most importantly, he's the dedicated right-hand man of The Outlaw. He'll pretty much do anything this guy asks of him out of a long allegiance going back to a day when Reno thought he was dead. (But that's a tale best saved for another day!)

As for me, I'm a overworked, underpaid, super stressed student in Ohio who is currently trying to survive the medical school application process. Until I get a lot of this done, you probably won't see me on AIM much. But when I am on AIM, I'm at Polythene Woe. Right now, e-mail and private messages are the best way to get ahold of me. (Or by replying to my posts on the ooc board!)

I look forward to rping with everyone. Please let me know if you ever want to rp something! I think the only characters currently accepted that have a premade affiliation to this guy are Miss Kitty and The Barber. LET'S CHAT OUT OUR CHARACTERS' RELATIONSHIPS! (winkwink.) But if anyone else wants to have some sort of rendezvous and/or past misdoings with this guy, let me know. I'm pretty laissez-faire and open with plot ideas.

Hello, hello, I'm Rae and I bring you--dun, dun, DUN--the Chinese Launderer, better known as Johnny Chen. As the archetype says he is more than meets the eye, a young man who's made a name for himself as an information broker of sorts. Plus he can get your laundry clean! Unless your character is a nudist, they've got a ready-made excuse to interact if you so desire. ;)

i'm a health care provider in the air force and i have a life, so my replies are kinda slow.
right now they also kinda suck since i haven't rp'd in 50000 years, but i'll be back into the swings of things hopefully soon.
some bits about logan you and your character don't know:
he's gotta disease, what that disease is has yet to be determined. he's dying from it. hard to tell with how evil he can still be. can your character catch this disease by being near him? depends on how near you get. winkwink.
oh, and did i mention he's evil? heartless, irredeemable...
fucked over so many people, will continue to, and is open to any and all plot. :)

Hiya! I'm Beth! I'm 24. I live in EST time zone and can generally be found online in the late afternoon/evening hours. With me I'm bringing in the school marm, Miss Delilah Ann Brewster. Like the premade states, she's prim and proper, a bookworm, the sister of the clueless deputy, friendly with the city slicker, and the beserker's frequent bullying victim. But since she is a lifelong resident of Reaper's Gulch and runs a library out of the schoolhouse that is open to everyone, I imagine she likely knows other local characters around here beyond strictly those characters in the premade. And while Delilah might have her initial reservations about getting friendly with any of the outlaw or saloon types (the scandal! the inpropriety! gasp!) inevitably her curious and kinder nature will likely end up getting the better of her. And when the things that go bump in the night and what not start showing up, I'd ideally love to see Delilah get involved in a research assistance capacity (books of lore are awesomesauce after all).

So, yeah, we are wide open for plot. And Delilah's first post is already up and open to anyone (Does your character want to borrow or return a book? Perhaps your character has a great need to discuss some child family member's educational progress? Is your character a young lady of Delilah's acquaintance who is a bit put out that Delilah hasn't answered a calling card in far too long? Or maybe your character is too drunk and injured to stagger all the way home after a night of debauchery and fighting at the saloon and in need of a warm place to dry out and just happened on by the now open schoolhouse? Come on down!) And if you'd like to plot or discuss backstory please feel free to comment, email, AIM, whatever! I'm really looking forward to playing in this game with everyone!

Before we truly begin on our wild west adventure I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Christine, I am the moderator and I welcome you! A few of you are treasured friends and trusted RP partners. The rest are new to me and if you are here then you just might be kindred spirits too.

I am excited you all have shown a great interest in my concept and game. This is my first time moderating on my own so I hope you will forgive the hiccups that are sure to burp up along the way. About me personally? I am 36. I am a new mom...or maybe not SO new. Halen Finn is now 6 months old. I love role playing and have been doing so for, geez...12 years now? I have an unhealthy love for ellipsis, can be comma and apostrophe impaired, love to see how characters and games can grow and wish that I can create a place where growth and consequence for our creations matter.
