She hated to admit it, but she was reassured by his words. Not about her looks. That she would have waved off. She was what she was. But his comments about wildness, that made her feel a bit better. Well, a bit, yes. After all, she had never had that wildness, so she wasn't sure if she believed him or not. But she'd have to take his word for it. He hadn't yet proved himself a liar to her. Until then, she'd trust him.
"I'm not sure," she said honestly. "I think it's good to know that, er, you've sown your oats, as it were. I just am afraid I'll bore you eventually. Sort of. But I'll be all right."
She drew a deep breath and smiled, picking her fork back up and snagging a scallop off his plate. Its rich buttery taste was as amazing as she'd anticipated and she sighed happily.
"What about you?" she asked after she swallowed, feeling a bit better. "Have you told anyone about us? Are they going to think you're insane? This Keiran, perhaps?"
