Ginny had spent the day before fretting. What if he'd only said he was going to take her out to get rid of her? What if he stood her up? She'd been so weird the last time, first almost fainting, then fucking him on the dance floor... Lord Above, she wouldn't blame him at all for saying anything to just get away from her. She hadn't dared open her book again, just in case there was some entry in there about her, making fun of her or something.
Her roommate had rolled her eyes and left a bit ago, going out with the girls. But Ginny had hardly noticed. She was just too damn nervous.
She'd dressed more like she had that day at lunch in a soft cotton sundress with spaghetti straps and sandals. It was cool and comfortable, dressy enough to pass as dressy, but stylish enough to pass if he was taking her somewhere... less dressy. Her hands had shook so badly, she'd knicked her ankle shaving, something she rarely did.
Once more jewelry-less and make-up-less, she paced and waited, her long hair swishing against her bare back, wondering if he'd even come.
God, let him come, she thought, noticing she was biting her nails and forcing her hand down to go back to pacing some more.
