The fact that her agreeing to spend time with him was barbed with an insult didn't seem to effect Dylan, and even though she relished his anger, this acceptance, this warmth that was directed towards her from the man was almost as nice. She told herself to ignore any pleasant feelings towards him, because she didn't need to waste her time on a pig like him. It was a difficult feat, however, and she yearned to lean towards him as he passed by her.
Instead, she stood straight and continued to amuse her eyes by watching the fish dart around in their tank. When he walked by, she inhaled. The scent of him was pure man, and it sent a thrill through her. She hated that he could do that to her. She refused to be just another girl easily swayed by his handsome visage and sweet words...
As he all but pushed her out of the store, she let another small frown taint her face, sighing exaggeratedly at the heat. She was not a fan. As an almost immediate solution, Taryn pulled her hair up from her shoulders and tied it behind her head. It didn't help much, but however little help it was, she still felt slightly better...
“I had a piece of toast at my hotel,” she murmured, not truly paying attention to her answer as she examined him in the sunlight. His skin held a rich, golden hue that worked perfectly with the raven hair that skimmed his shoulders and speckled his face. Perfectly slanted eyes seemed unaffected by the bright sun, and his giddy excitement at her agreeing to spend time with him gave him an almost boyish charm.
He was really attractive...
Shaking the thoughts out of her head, she picked up that cool outer shell that she'd been displaying in his shop. With a dismissive shrug, she followed his lead, “We can go there, if you'd like.”
