The moment that Taryn pushed through the doors, she squinted and attempted to focus better in the darker building. The sun had been shining bright outside, it made it seem almost pitch black in the store – at least for a moment. When her eyes focused, she took an excited look around, stepping further into the store with a rather gleeful grin on her face.
The girl hadn't exactly dressed to impress, wearing a simple green shirt that tied around her neck and a pair of jeans that had seen better days. They were worn and comfortable, however, which was a prime choice for clothing when she was going to spend the whole day walking around in a foreign country. However, she did wear a rather intricate ring on her left middle finger that twisted around and past the first knuckle. It looked to be the most expensive thing she had on her.
Before she saw the store's owner, she felt him. Or at least she thought she had, though this was quickly dismissed as a mere coincidence. She'd probably just heard him walking in her direction, that's all. When she lifted her dual-coloured eyes to meet his, a sharp intake of breath was her first and only reaction for a few moments. A battle of emotions took place inside of her, each emotion taking a turn on her face – lust, hate, depression, longing...
She finally settled on a less controversial confused. Who was this man to effect her in such a manner? And why, of all things, did she want to punch him square in the jaw before throwing her arms around him?
After nearly a minute of stunned silence, Taryn seemed to slip from her confused stupor. A smirk curved up the corner of her lips, “Hey. I was just wanting to look around,” she murmured dismissively, slipping past him to peruse the store. If the emotions that had rolled through her meant anything, she knew her utter disinterest would annoy the man. And for another unknown reason, this would bring her extreme pleasure.
