She looked where he indicated and blinked, her stomach rumbling again in protest at even this slight delay.
"Uh... you know, usually I'd say yes, but I'm too hungry an way to thirsty to try and stumble though Greek. So no. Someone else can deal with them. If I don't eat now, I might well pass out."
And then you'd have to carry me in those big strong arms and I'd be all helpless.... Wouldn't that be a shame. Down girl! she thought to herself, snorting softly in amusement.
"I can always catch them next time." Besides, she didn't want him to slip away. Not unless he really didn't want to talk to her. But she felt comfortable with him in a way she didn't with most of the people she spent time with in her everyday life.
