Summary:Ron and Hermione's first date.
Written for arnostale!
Hermione, once again, was reading Hogwarts A History. This was normal, but it was a problem for Ron. It was fifteen minutes before they were to meet in the main hall to go to Hogsmeade, and Ron wanted to treat her special. It was to be their first date.
"Will you please stop reading that damn book!"
"Patience is a virtue," said Hermione. She turned the page and continued to read.
Ron sighed and took out his wand. "Accio Hogwarts A History!" The book flew out of Hermione's hands and landed at Ron's feet.
"Hey, it's time to go! Now come on!"
He grabbed her hand and the two walked out of the common room. After a few floors of stairs they were finally at the main hall. There they met Harry and Ginny.
"Harry, do you know what he did with my book-"
"I Accio-ed it from her-"
"And I was right in the middle of-"
"And she's been reading all morning-"
"And it just flew out of my hands, and I lost my place-"
"And I knew we were going to be late-:"
Harry and Ginny just looked at each other and grinned. After seven years, Hermione and Ron finally decided that they were made for each other. Ron had forgotten about Lavender. Hermione had forgotten about Victor, though she would mention his name to get Ron mad for fun. All the time now in classes they sat together and held hands under desks. Hermione even was helping Ron and Harry more with their homework.
Going to Hogsmeade was going to be Hermione and Ron's first date.
Ron held Hermione's hand proudly as they walked the streets of Hogsmeade.
"So, where do you want to go first?" Ron asked. He patted his pocked, which had all the money he had saved for the occasion.
Hermione thought for a moment. "Let's go where everyone goes."
"The Three Broomsticks?"
"No. Madam Puddifoot's ."
Ron cringed. The one place he didn't want to go. Madam Puddifoots was nothing but a stupid teenage couples tea shop where it looked like someone threw-up a very bad Valentine's Day card. You were constantly being pelted with confetti and and Ron had heard the tea cups were decorated with little hearts and sayings such as "Be Mine" and "I Love You THIS Much".
Hermione walked off towards the shop and entered. Ron had no choice. As soon as he was in he found Hermione at a table in a corner. She patted the table, inviting him to come over. He sat down. They were soon served tea in the hideous tea cups and they just sat there.
"What do we do? Just drink tea and kiss?" asked Ron.
"I'm not really sure," said Hermione. "I've always wanted to know what this place looked like." She looked around her, and as she did confetti landed in her tea. She frowned at the cherub who did it.
"That wasn't nice!"
The cherub just laughed and went on to another table.
Ron looked at Hermione.
"Hermione...Do we have to stay in here-" Before he could answer a kiss was placed on his lips.
"No we don't, Ron." She smiled. "I've always wanted to do what every other girl in Hogwarts does. Go to Puddifoot's and get a kiss and some tea."
"Now Ron, would like to go Zonko's for your treat? I've already had mine."
