So you're not going to believe this, but I asked around at work for therapists and got a few strong recommendations for Dr. Simone Fujita...who just moved in to the floor below us. Not sure if this is a case of too close to home or convenience...

Apologies to my brand new tenth floor neighbours who had to deal with the noise of two moves in one day, but at least it's over with now? I'm Simone, just moved here from the Bay Area to set up a private practice with a colleague. (Psychiatry, before anyone asks. Very awkward to drum up business for it, too, but that's why they pay me the big bucks.) Everything's still a bit skew-whiff in the apartment but on the plus side, the carpets have never been cleaner, so feel free to drop by and say hello. I have...espresso and Oreos, it's a very sophisticated joint here.

I'm new in the building and I was told this was a great way to network with my neighbours! I'm Lucas, I just moved in (still unpacking, boxes everywhere!) I'm definitely up to meeting some of my neighbours, though I may have to entertain with paper cups of instant coffee for now until I get settled. I'm up in 1003 with far more room than I need, but gosh it's a great view!

[ Upon arriving home from work, Obed will find a juvenile Serissa Foetida Bonsai tree sitting on a wide, rectangular black cabinet placed just in front of the wide windows in the living room. A cushioned stool is sitting in front of that, facing out the window so the tree's caregiver might appreciate the view. The tree is planted in a rectangular-shaped black pot with gold etching that frames the outside edges with a latticework pattern. With the tree is a small note in an envelope, Obed's name on the outside in Isobel's handwriting. Next to it is a pamphlet of instructions, detailing the various methods and levels of care the tree requires. ]

Hi everyone!

I wanted to introduce myself. :) I'm Alice and I just moved into 405. I own Rosemary & Thyme Bakery over on the Balboa Peninsula. It's primarily a cupcake shop but I also serve coffee, tea, hot cocoa, breakfast baked goods, cakes and pies. This isn't entirely a moment to self promote, I just wanted to let you all know that sometimes I over-bake at my apartment and I might drop extra treats off at your doorsteps if any of you are interested. Hopefully none of you are gluten intolerant. Otherwise, stop in and say hi! I'm excited to meet you all.

Hi neighbors! on our floor and elsewhere Obed and I wanted to extend an invitation to our apartment this Sunday; we're having a little Oscars party! I've been trying to get a little project off the ground and it's FINALLY HAPPENING.

Starting Monday, March 6, self-defense instruction will be hosted in the gym on the ground floor. Only tenants can attend for now. Talk to Stephan if you have an issue with that, WHAT is his DEAL Maxine Petrie will be your friendly neighborhood instructor. Consider this post an informal sign-up sheet and AMA as we try to gauge interest, but if you DON'T sign up and later decide you want to come, stop by anyway! Class will begin at 7 p.m. sharp. (If you're late, you get to be Max's sparring partner for the first round.)

I am dying. I blame the new infestation of most likely mangy animals in and near our building, one of them was in the elevator yesterday and surely everything in it's fur (including it's fur!) is in the ventilation and I am dying.

I called my mother and tried to get her to mail me her nine bean soup (more stew like really) and she refused, giving me a lecture about being spoiled which my father joined in and they felt the need to lecture me in three languages.

Why.

I am dying I swear. Someone make sure my makeup is still flawless when they carry my corpse downstairs.

OK... Did someone lose a cat? Or it might be a raccoon, I'm not sure are raccoons legal pets in California? I need someone to come and claim it or else I'm calling animal control, because it's scaring Hanni half to death. that and he won't shut up and we are getting NO sleep

It's good to be back on the cleaner coast, as much as I didn't miss the sand getting everywhere for days on end it'll be nice to be able to go out to eat and then take a walk on the beach.

I might even learn to swim this year. haha.

So my cat slipped out of my apartment as I was getting in today and somehow got off the floor. I've been trying to search every floor but so far no luck. Has anyone seen a friendly pure white cat around? He's kinda a scaredy cat, but he likes people. He answers to...well, he answers to nothing, he's a cat, but his tag says Bear.

So uh...hi. I hope I haven't caused too much of a disturbance these past few days. My name is Eleanor Rochester, I just moved in on the second floor. I tried my best to be quiet, but awkward and heavy pieces of furniture made it rather hard sometimes. The delivery men weren't nearly as concerned about being quiet as I was. I'm just about done though, now it's just down to rearranging a few pieces of furniture here and there to get them into their proper spots. Sometimes you can't tell if you've got everything where it needs to be until you look at it a few times, y'know?

So...guess that's all. Just wanted to say sorry for my possible noise. If I disturbed you, I will do my best to make it up to you. I know the traditional exchange between new neighbors is some sort of baked good or whatever, but I think you'd hate me more if I did something like that. I can make you a light up snowman instead? It's a bit more permanent than cookies, but it's much easier on your stomach. Unless you try to eat it. Hopefully no one will do that though.

Weirdest fuckin' dream! So, I'm sitting on some throne, right, and everything is really bright like it's in the sky or something, and this bitch comes up to me like, "You need to go get my daughter mother fucker!" and I'm like, "WTF? Me? You don't talk to me like that you hag." and then she went on to say she'd do something really anticlimactic like make flowers wither or something retarded. For some reason you were her daughter. And I was like go ahead! See if I care. But then things died and I dunno, I had to do something about it. I had to go to some like, cavern where it was all dark, but then I woke up.

Yes, unpack, as I’m very new here. It’s little weird to introduce myself on this thing. My general rule about social sites is to meet someone in person first before I click add but I’m game to try something new. I’m Cassie. I just moved into 107. What else do people sa I’m an oceanographer and yes, I’m still loving Shark Week. Or I was until I cut the lines and packed up my TV. I’m hoping it’ll be back up today. The cable guy’s got another 2 hours to show up. Fingers crossed.
