I'm heading home for another long weekend today so I'd really appreciate it, Naea, if you could feed the fish and ferns again. You're the best.

Hey, fellow denizens! Your ol' buddy Jack here, sharing a little holiday cheer with those of you stuck here away from your families and loved ones. :) It's more holiday cheer for me, but it's just too good to keep to myself, so I'm inflicting it on all of you too.

Some of you know I had an audition a few weeks ago for a role in a feature film. It was one of those open call sort of things, where you come in and read something you prepare yourself and the casting team decide if they want to call you back for a second round. Well, I just got a call from my agent, and she said the casting director loved me and wants me to come in for a scripted reading! This is my first callback for a feature, and I couldn't be more excited.

Oh yeah, it's not just any old role in a feature, either. It's for the lead role in a live-action movie based on the Japanese animated series Lupin the Third. The producers specifically wanted unknowns in the principal roles and I'm about as unknown as they come and since the only screen credits I have are tv, that made me a candidate. Nevermind that I'm such a perfect fit for Lupin it's almost like typecasting.

The callback's not until the middle of January, so I have time to prepare. I won't get the script from my agent til next week, but if anyone's interested in helping me by reading the other parts, let me know! Ren, I'm going to need to hang onto the DVDs you loaned me for a little longer. :)

BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER. I'm glad I have my fantastic family here in Pax to share it with. <3
