I am pleased to say that there are now two new children of the island, both of whom are doing quite well. If anyone would like to meet my daughter before she is given to Lady Arva, I would welcome a visit.

I guess you guys will find this out soon enough, but.. Isaiah and I are expecting a baby.

The dorm building is really nice, but I think I'm going to stick with my cave. I don't think it's a good idea for me to be in such close proximity to so many people.

I gave birth to a healthy, beautiful baby girl yesterday.

She's... perfect. I decided not to name her since she's going to live with Arva.

The child within me continues to grow and develop. Awareness comes in sparks and bursts, but has not yet become constant. I feel like I am performing my function once more by bearing this child. I am very grateful for that.

I thought this was supposed to be some kind of tropical island but it looks like I've been dropped off on a snow planet. Anyone have any idea how I'm supposed to get in touch with Arva so I can get to the right place because this can't possibly be it.

I am very nervous. The time is coming soon and yet I feel...normal. I mean, the baby is moving a lot and I can't wait to meet it but it's very frightening to think what is between right now...and finally getting to hold my daughter.

Would you like help making diapers, Pepper? I desperately need something to do with my hands. I also have been knitting a bit if anyone would be interested in blankets or socks...?

There are some very pretty shells down by the beach. I know it's not very useful, but I've been making jewelry of sorts if anyone would like a bracelet or a necklace or anything.

Guess it's just my District One upbringing showing.

Alright, cool, so this place is totally awesome. It's got sun, it's got trees, it's got lots of air and water and the water's nice, and okay. So it's missing a couple of things. First of all, it is FAR too quiet at night, I've taken to sleeping in a makeshift hammock further into the jungle because then I can hear the animals, makes it a bit less quiet.

Also, uh, look some of you are great cooks. And there's lots of great food here. But I have gone a week or.. however long it's been, and I have been without a pancake. And I really miss pancakes... and syrup.

But I'm not complaining! Lots of awesome, pretty, pretty much naked people around and I can't complain. At all.

This place is beautiful and after everything, I didn't think I'd ever find beauty in anything. Not that I deserved to anyway.

Well... this was a bit unexpected. I had not expected the climate to be so tropical, but it is quite lovely here.

Though I should probably introduce myself while I am on here.I am Mei Ling Zhou from the group Overwatch. I've come here to help with what I can in hopes of building a better tomorrow. My expertise lays with engineering and ecological studies. I have high hopes that we can get along and bring about a future that is much brighter than the past.

Which means I feel like I should probably start contributing in a more meaningful way. Like having a baby for Arva.

I've got a lot of survival skills. What's the best way for me to be useful around here?

So as I've told some of you, I have the ability to teleport. And the past few days I've been using that ability to explore the island a little. I've found a lot of beautiful beaches, and more waterfalls, and coves that look good for fishing. I've also found some places that look good for settlements in the future, depending on how quickly our population grows.

My question is - do you think we should stay where we are, in the main campsite for now, and spread out only when we need to, or should we start another settlement? I'm not exactly sure how far it is because I didn't walk it, but from what I can tell about the shape and size of the island, it couldn't take more than an hour to walk it.
