Who? The Doctor & Rose.
Where? Random streets.
When? Tuesday evening.
What? Investigating! Rather unsuccessfully.
The Doctor was sitting with his feet resting on top of the console, staring blankly at the scanner that was currently showing nothing but rain beating down upon the city. He looked completely miserable, and he felt it. L.A was a city beyond the point of help, and as much as he hated to admit defeat, he already knew that he'd only be able to make a minor difference here. Of course, if the TARDIS had been fully functioning he'd probably have been all smiles, jumping at the chance to find out what was going on in the city, but since he couldn't have things on his own terms he felt entitled to a little sulk.
He gave an exaggeratted sigh as he cast his eyes over the console room, scrunching up his nose as he realised that there were soaked items of clothing draped over nearly every inch of the barrier and supporting columns. This was getting ridiculous. He rolled his eyes and briefly considered doing the sensible thing and collecting them together to be put into the dryer where they belonged, but he didn't get much further than a vague thought. Completely out of the blue he swore loudly, giving the console a good kick as he did so as if that were meant to help somehow. The central column gave a slight flicker in response, and then faded to nothing. "Oh, come on," he mumbled, rolling his eyes like a petulant child.
