Who:Mary Winchester and...herself. What:Where is everyone? When:Promptly after she realizes everyone is GONE Where:The Winchester house Status:COMPLETE Rating:PG
Mary wasn't used to waking up to a cold bed. No matter how long of a night John was having, he was always sleeping at her side by the time she woke up. She was growing spoiled with the luxury of his warmth, the comfort of using his chest as a pillow, and the occasional amusement of his soft snores.
The fact he was gone was not immediately met with panic. Some mornings she'd find him in the kitchen, or the garage, or doing something else useful around the house...still, it was odd that he had been gone enough to leave the bed cold. It wasn't the way that Mary like to wake up, but it was a rare enough occurance to not leave Mary in too foul of a mood.
"Your Daddy's in trouble." She whispered, rubbing her belly as she climbed out of bed. She felt silly, talking to her stomach, but ever since she met a teenaged version of Megan, she felt like her daughter was more of a real person. She was unmistakably excited about the prospect of meeting Megan again come January, and excited for Megan getting the opportunity that Sam and Dean had never had--to be raised by both parents.
She searched the house, which was very, VERY quiet. There were no video games being played in the game room, no loud Mullet Rock radiating from Dean's room, no tap tap tap of keyboard keys coming from Sam's room. As curiosity swiftly turned to panic, Mary realized the entire house was empty and not so much as a note left a clue as to where everyone had gone.
Running was awkward given her current condition, but Mary raced to the garage, praying that the cars would all be gone and signal some sort of odd coincidence where everyone went out to run errands early in the morning, but every single one was there.
Her family was gone, all gone, and not so much as a single car was out of place. It was as if they had all vanished overnight. Like they had simply disappeared into thin air.
With a strangled sob as she thought of what could possibly have caused such a mass disappearance, Mary went back inside to call for help.
