It was unselfish.
Weirdly.
The LAWC, getting there, seeing what had happened,finding Cathy gone and Clary injured, letting people know, and then the plan, the plan to lie, pretend she was angry, missing the dark, lie with the truth like usual. Castiel had known instantly and it bothered him, of course it did, maybe it bothered her too, how easy it had been to turn to lies again. How easy Lilah had been to convince not for the stupidity of the woman but because it was entirely likely to most of LA that she'd turn to Wolfram and Hart. For the power, but tempting as it was she had Castiel. and he wasn't trying to change her like she'd hinted to Lilah. No he was trying to help her.
And the plan was sound.
Not to mention she was doing it for Cathy. She'd meant what she said to Clary. Cathy of all people didn't deserve what had happened to her. Taken, likely by the bitch they were going to meet just for what, falling in love. It didn't make sense. Cathy was a genuine good person and if Ruby could help in her rescue then she would.
Knife twirling in one hand and a nonchelant expression on her face, Ruby finally reached her destination. The building scheduled for demolition ever since she'd helped it along its path there. In good time for Faith to arrive and hide, and for Lilah to get here, she'd turn and run but Ruby wasn't hiding her power anymore. Lilah wasn't getting anywhere until they knew for sure. It was a bit of a pity, she liked the CEO, but it was likely Lilah would understand, be irritated of course, but understand.
And Faith...
Well she didn't know about Faith. But that was the risk she was taking just by being here.
