The four that entered the Hyperion Lobby were all very different, but they also some things in common, some connections. The most apparent of the connections was the Company. Elle’s father was the head of it, Peter’s mother helped found it, Noah Bennet and Mohinder Suresh had both worked for them too. But there were other connections among the group. Claire and Peter were niece and uncle. Elle was very fond of Peter and Claire was growing on her. And Claire had been like a big sister to Molly where she was from.
They also each had something to bring to the team of people already living and working in the Hyperion. Claire could regenerate, Molly could find anyone, anywhere. Elle could use her lightning as a defense and maybe protect some people here with it. And Peter could do everything that the three girls he brought with him could do, and more. Peter and Elle were also the two most dangerous among the four, but Elle figured she could handle Peter, and Peter could definitely handle Elle if something happened. Yes, they were four very different individuals but they all had something in common, they were all here, and they could all help out. Plus they stood a much better chance against Sylar here together than if they were on their own.
Elle was the first to enter the lobby, and she was soaking wet. They all were. She’d have to be dry before she could even think about using her powers. Still, she probably wouldn’t need them right now anyway. She didn’t plan on attacking any of the residents here, and she’d heard good things about this place. They helped the hopeless, wasn’t that what the little card said? It was strange for Elle, she’d worked for the Company and done so many horrible things and yet now she found herself here, with three of the heroes. She still couldn’t believe the other girl was Molly, though. Molly had been a small child when Elle had seen her last.
She shivered as she turned around to make sure that everyone else got in safely.
