Who: Kennedy and Tara.
What: Kennedy wants to meet the woman Willow loved before her.
Where: Hyperion Garden
When: Late Afternoon 26th October
Rating: TBD
Status: In Progress

Well this certainly wasn't what she'd expected when she'd told Vi she was gonna skip out to LA for a little while and hopped in her modified Bus. She'd expected a few days of drinking and catching up and a debrief on Twilight. But she'd found Faith with an attitude she found a little worrying and reminding her of Willow, she found a dead Slayer alive again and she found Tara. Tara that Willow had loved and lost. Tara that had died. Tara that had been the reason Willow hadn't wanted her to be in danger. She'd tried so insanely to protect her that Kennedy had been forced to walk away.

And now she was going to meet her. And say what,'Hi I'm the new girlfriend, only I left her cause your death gave her glaring issues'. "So you were there for the crazy magic addiction, 'So redheads...hot, yes?'

It was all kinds of weird.

But she'd heard only good things about Tara Maclay.

She stepped into the Hyperion Gardens, through the gate and sat on the bench, she'd never met Tara of course, but she'd arrive. And then somehow she'd explain about Wilow and that it was okay, and she wouldn't even be here long anyway.

And it wouldn't be weird.

It wouldn't.

It was with a bit of hesitance that Tara made her way to the Gardens. There was a part of her that wanted to find Faith or Xander and ask them what it was that she should have been informed about, however, another more rational part of her, reminded herself that it wouldn't be good to keep Kennedy waiting. It would be rude for one, and secondly, it seemed that whatever the other woman needed to tell her was important. Not bad, but complicated and important.

It could be anything. And Tara wasn't very keen going into it as unprepared as she currently was. She was already a bit nervous and it was sure that the situation would be an uncomfortable one. She was going to stutter. Probably something horrible. It was something that she'd managed to get under control in the past couple of years, but after years of doing something that was second nature, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if she slipped back into it. In this complicated, anxious, situation.

Yet still she went. She arrived there before Kennedy and she stood, waiting.

Kennedy spotted the woman... Not like her at all, but then she supposed that was a good thing, she'd always had a niggling worry about being the rebound. But this was Tara...How on earth was she gonna say this?

"Tara" she said moving to the other bench nearer the woman but not sitting down yet, she stayed standing, deciding it was easier for now at least.

"Hey...Um, so, I'm Kennedy, and like I said I thought you and me should meet and stuff, before anyone else..."

She paced, Kennedy liked pacing. It ordered her thoughts, focused her. And this was a hard thing to have to ask anyone. She really really hoped Tara knew what she was talking about or this just got a load harder.

"So...when did you get here, do you remember what was happening...before you did I mean? You got pulled from somewhere, whats the last thing..."

Tara turned when she heard her named called. She managed to force a small smile on her face. "H-h-hel-lo." If Tara was the type to curse, there would be mental cursing. Goddess, why was she letting herself become so anxious over this? Complicated could mean anything. It was just that in the experiance of her past twenty odd years, complicated might not always mean bad but it was still a far cry from neutral news.

When Kennedy paced. Tara stayed standing. There was a brief moment where she fluctuated mentally between figuring out what to do with herself, but standing was good. She liked standing. Her eyes followed the other other female and she watched as she paced. This was Kennedy's meeting, she would let the other woman say what she had to say, it seemed to be very important. She would take her cues from her.

Tara frowned slightly, before dawning appeared. "Y-you mean wh-when I wuh-was sh-shot?" She asked. Had something happened around when she'd died. Xander or Buffy would have told her if her blood had started some evil ritual or something wouldn't they? She didn't know the exact details around her death, other than they'd been looking for Warren. While she'd wanted to know, she hadn't even considerd asking because there had been so many things happening. She'd believed Anya when she'd said that LA was worse than Sunnydale but she hadn't realised that the extant of trouble occuring would be so bad.

Jeez she didn't mean to freak the girl out. Maybe she was being too doom filled with this, she'd tried to explain this wasn't anything bad but she'd been worried. Completely worried.

It wasn't as bad as it could have been. Tara knew about her shooting. Kennedy visably seemed to let out a breath that she'd been holding. "Right so...you know that you were shot. That you...died". She kept up the pacing though she had to admit to being a bit more relaxed. The fact that she knew she'd died would make this a whole lot easier than it could have been.

A bit.

"So...Willow, she missed you, she loved you. You know that right?"

God she sucked at this.

This had to do with Willow? Something had happened with Willow? Why hadn't -- They would have told her if something had happened to her Willow. Tara took a very visible breath, it wasn't a loud one but there was very definite rise and fall to her chest as she forced herself to calm down. "I-It ... I can't even imagine how hard it must have been for her. But yes, I know. I know that Willow loves-- loved. That Willow loved me."

What did this have to do with anything? What did Kennedy, her death, and Willow have in common? Why was Kennedy, of all people, telling her any of this? Did they have anything common or was she just jumping to conclusions. "Did ... something happen?" They would have told her. That Tara was certain of, but maybe, something had to have happen. Or would happen now? She wanted to know what it was.

Kennedy visibly winced and finally stopped pacing to sit down, she thought she should sit down. She was doing this wrong, horribly horribly wrong. Awfully wrong.

"Nothing happened, Willow's fine" More or less, as much as she was going to be she supposed, she was getting scary again and sometimes it freaked Kennedy out which was one of many reasons why they weren't together. But she wasn't dead.

"...Along time after you died. And I mean a long time, it took her that to get past what had happened to you, but after that. She met me, and me and her...for a while, few years. We were together"

Please don't hate me, she thought with another wince.

"So thats why I asked if you knew that she loved you because she did, she does, so so much. She never stopped. But I thought you should know, and I thought you should know from me. Is that...Are you okay?"
