WHO: Sam & Jack. Definitely open to anyone at the house who wants to come along and mock them!
WHAT: Being geeks.
WHEN: Early evening.
WHERE: The Winchester home; Sam's room.
RATING: PG-13.

"Dude, hurry up! These goblins are gonna slaughter me!" Laptop propped open, Sam leaned forward and clicked at the screen furiously. The action resulted in the sounds of swords clashing and monsters growling, along with the dark and foreboding music that trickled in through the background. Eyes glued to the screen in front of him, Sam watched as BigSexy26 took another hit and groaned. "I have no clue how we're gonna be able to storm that castle without these -" He clicked at the screen again and leaned in even closer, face only a few inches away from the screen. For that moment, his attention was focused on nothing but the battle taking place out in the forest that his character was lodged into. Then, with a triumphant grin, Sam leaned back in his chair and folded his arms over his chest. "Never mind, I just hit 'em with my magic dart." Fuck yeah, insta-kills.

Glancing over his screen, Sam peered off at Jack, who was sitting at the other side of his desk. "Hey, this was a good idea." He pushed his laptop back a little bit and clasped his hands together at the edge of the desk, leaning forward so that he could see past Jack's own screen a bit more easily. "I haven't really been hanging out with you as much as I should lately and I think that something like this is, uh...it's pretty cool. There's no Youtube involved." He grinned a little. "Which you know we're both pretty terrible with."

Sam frowned at the slightest and pointed a finger at Jack. "But this? Me playing this RPG crap? It's only happening because I'm bored." He was not a little bit addicted to it. Nope. There was a part of him that really hated being curious about the entire thing. Now he was sort of into it. In a completely healthy way. Mostly.

They could have just put on the headphones and done a game chat, but this? Was so much better. This way there was leaving the house involved. That was a thing he needed, to just hang out. Which he'd of coarse entered and appropriately called "rations".. as if he had to add to the geekery that already existed in that room with the two of them logged onto the MMO. His red laptop (of coarse it was red, did you really expect any different?) beside Sam's. Character following his close behind watching his back. "Kinda busy keeping us from getting killed from behind! They're back here too! hang on hang on!" After finishing the ones from the backside in a couple seconds with a magical sword, yes. Magic sword. Redhot01 stood to the side of Bigsexy26 just incase he was needed. The imagery of that was just priceless. They had such horrible names..."There is no bad when theirs video games involved." He grinned and clapped a hand on Sam's shoulder in a friendly way.

As Sam sat back he gave him a smirk. "There could be youtube involved if you miss it, I bet we'd be instantly famous. " He teased and only gave him a more amused look at the finger pointing, swatting it to the side with a laugh. "Yeah right, as if I won't be here next weekend for the epic adventure part two." There were soda's near by, one of which he'd snagged and opened for the much needed caffeine rush. It was sort of a must have when getting ready to storm a castle and save a princess. " I think we need a plan if we're gonna get to the princess, or at least some more of those arrows. "

Sam hiked up his soda as well, grateful for the caffeine boost. It was a nice change from the usual coffee or beer that he drank, even if the amount of sugar in it was making him a bit more hyperactive than he usually preferred. It made it a lot easier to get into the fun gaming mood that he was in now. "Famous for what? How much you'd end up being ridiculed if I actually went ahead and posted all the stuff I've caught you doing on camera?"

Sam shifted in his chair, palm smoothing over his chin as he weighed out their options. "We could recruit?" He looked over at Jack, brows rising. "Gather up a few more players in town, try and get them to work with us so that we can get inside without being mauled to death." Sam just didn't want to end up getting stabbed in the back again. That had been unpleasant.

...both in game and out of.

Caffeine was a good thing for gaming. Jack had learned from experience. Besides that he wasn't ready to end his sobriety streak like he'd thought. He wanted to get back out there and be among the norms again, but it had been hard staying dry that long. If he went back now? It could get bad, and he wasn't sure he was ready to handle that. Drinking had only made him more depressed at the time, it hadn't made anything better. So he was probably better off. Besides there was no bad times in video games, it wasn't something to be forgotten. So really the soda was perfect. And besides that, it was grape! "As if, everything I do is awesome. " He gave him a smug goofy look and grinned.

"Do you know anyone else who plays that we can recruit?" He didn't know anyone else, which was funny considering before he'd loaded the game there were many others on his desktop that Sam probably caught a good look at. Guild Wars, Counter Strike, Final Fantasy..He didn't even really have to do much loading to make Castlevania work. "Here. I found star bracelets. We can use them on each arm. Boosts your defense and strength on the right, on the other luck and intelligence." He dragged the items over to Sam's character name on his screen.
