Just having a mom's kind of a new thing for him, Padmé---be gentle. [edit;] LA, say hello to bitty!Luke. rating; PG, probably. status; In progress.
Luke had fretted, and thought about it, and meditated, and he still wasn't entirely comfortable with knowing that everyone knew Exar Kun was a liar, and therefore not likely to tell the truth. The problem was, of course, that this time he had told the truth, and Luke didn't like that very much at all. After all, what if people did believe him? Not that Luke thought many would care, exactly, but he knew very well that his mother would. She was.. kind-hearted. And it was no doubt difficult for her, being so unfamiliar with this version of her husband, and not knowing her own son.
He'd grown up without parents. He had a hard time getting around the idea of them.
At any rate, he'd finally decided (after a good deal of hemming and hawing over the matter) that it was probably best to visit his mother and talk to her about the things said, and what they held of truth and fiction. Which meant that he'd have to be open about things he had never told anyone---or at least as open as he dared. Luke didn't like for people to know.. those kinds of things. After all, they didn't affect him in his day-to-day life, so why should it matter that the Sith Lord had hurt him, or that his uncle had tried to keep him from accessing the Force?
It was all in the past, wasn't it?
Sighing as he made his way down the hall to his mother's office, Luke curled his gloved right hand loosely, stopping at her door and knocking lightly before announcing himself. "M--" A steadying breath. "Mother, it's Luke. I'm coming in, all right?" He turned the knob, slipping in and closing it quietly behind himself.
