POST RESCUE – Ben & Allana!
The earlier kiss hadn't been just any one thing. Comfort, attraction, years of what ifs and more had all mingled to be behind that kiss. But the comfort aspect had been a worry he'd tucked away to get the job done tonight, worried she would quickly regret it. Her kissing him... well, that told a different story entirely.
Ben's surprised laugh was lost in the joining of their lips, needing no more encouragement than what she did to essentially let her have her way with him. Well, within the boundaries of the kiss, that was. Anyone within eyesight – which, honestly, was everyone, what with them all congregated outside right now – could see them and it really would not be good to fully explore the other boundaries of her having her way with him.
That people could see them kissing was a fact Ben didn't care about at all. He wasn't even thinking about the rest of them right now, just her and how much she seemed to find, in ways that went far beyond her physically in his arms. Loosening his grip just a touch, he let her slide down his body to her feet so he could free his hands – which, fairly, was likely not the best plan for his still-on-adrenaline-overdrive body, but it was better than, say, gripping her legs and wrapping them around his waist.
Hands thus freed, he buried one in her hair and kept her close to him with the other. She'd proven his earlier kiss hadn't been ill-advised or completely insane, now he was going to prove he wasn't just here for comfort kisses.
