They were taking Jacen away? No. No, no, no. He needed him here. He couldn't fight Eve off alone. Sam wriggled in his chair, hands twisting against the binds that held him down. They weren't loose enough for him to untangle his way out of. Clearly, his captors knew very well how to keep a man down when they wanted to. Damn it all to hell. And then some.
Watching Jacen with wide eyes, Sam desperately gave the unbreakable ropes another tug before the door separating this room from the next slammed shut, leaving Eve and himself to their own. Ironic name. Eve. It fit the description on what she was attempting to do to him. Tempting him back into the blood. She really was a disgusting little snake, wasn't she?
He had a lot of insults in mind. Plenty of wit, plenty of things that he could say that would either piss her off or amuse her. Sam found that neither would please him personally, so he instead chose to glare up at her from where he sat. She wouldn't get away with what she was doing. Dean and Dad and...that didn't seem like a very strong list of supporting parties, did it? Not with the way that things were lately. There was still Faith. And Tenel Ka, she'd be wanting Jacen back. But would she stop for him on the way if she got here while Faith was someplace else? What if Faith and the others were really far from okay? What if Eve really had seen them dead? Sam swallowed hard.
He had to be strong. He had no weaknesses in the face of his enemy. Sam stared up at Eve and continued to say nothing, waiting for her to start being smug at him again.
And she was smug. Overconfident too. Otherwise she would have shut up with the Sammy already. Bitch.
