Elisabeth sighed, sensing how fun this was going to be. Rolling her eyes, she shut the door behind him before moving into the kitchen to check on the brownies. "Don't be too thrilled to see me, honestly."
She wasn't sure if he would follow or not, so she kept her voice loud enough to be heard from the living room portion of their apartment. "Have you managed to make any more friends? Spike seems to take kindly to you," she smirked, opening the oven and sticking a toothpick into the treats. Thinking they had baked long enough, Elisabeth removed them with an oven mitt and set them out to cool.
