Possibly the most surreal few days of Faith's life. This whole futures thing was a whole new level of weird, even for LA. She had to admit that hearing about a future where she had a son was only a little bit less scary than the ones where she died. Though she'd figured one thing out, Michael clearly existed in more than one timeline if the comments from the other children were anything to go by. Faith honestly wasn't sure if that made things more terrifying or somewhat comforting.

Still, he was here and that meant he needed protecting, regardless of what might or might not happen in the future. There were still the ever present dangers of LA, not to mention Sylar's arrival. Faith was worried about Claire and how she was dealing, though she tried not to let it show through, keeping her focus on Michael.

"Your dad won't be long," she offered a smile to Michael as she opened the fridge on a quest for some kind of soda. "He's just on his way back and he may even be less cranky when he comes back."

She wasn't sure how or why, but she felt a flare of protectiveness towards the kid, more than she normally felt for the people around her. Maybe it was a maternal instinct she'd never thought she'd had before. And though it felt weird to refer to Sam as a dad, she just wasn't sure how else to call him.

Finally finding some lemonade, she poured out a couple of glasses and was about to hand one to Michael when she hesitated with a faint frown. "Wait, do you even like lemonade?"
