Since Wesley's disappearence, she'd been pushing more and more into research and fighting to keep her attention solely on the books in front of her. When that didn't completely work, she decided to call in an acquaintance to get his point of view.
Books and notepads stacked in the library, she keyed in the system so it would let the Doctor in without giving him a hassle. After that, she went to wait for him in the library, her hands wrapped around the mug of hot cocoa that she had been finishing off. She glanced up as she heard him enter, giving him a smile as she waved her hand at the empty spots on the table. "It's always worth a shot," she replied with a firm nod. The offer was met with a shake of her head. "No thanks."
