Who: Jack, Tori and Alyssa
What: Visiting Jack, keeping him company in the creepy hospital
When: Evening, during visiting hours
Where: The hospital
Warnings: Most likely none.
Status: In progress

Just as Alyssa promised, she ended up whipping up a quick batch of chocolate chip muffins to bring to Jack. Tori had helped, noting that the hospital food probably wasn't the greatest around. It tended not to be -- almost as if it was an unspoken rule in hospitals worldwide. That thought had Alyssa laughing lightly as she wrapped the muffins up, making sure not to crush them.

Tori held the door open for Alyssa, as they made their way out of the apartment to the street below. "Here's hoping we don't run into whatever Jack did on the way to the hospital." It was a sobering thought, but it was true nonetheless. Tori kept a sharp eye out as they walked, in case anything decided to ambush the unsuspecting girls. Too bad they'd be in for a surprise and that had Tori smirking just a bit.

Alyssa kept a strong grip on the muffins as they came closer to the hospital. Heaven forbid they get attacked before getting to their destination. With L.A., you never knew what was waiting around the corner. That made Alyssa shudder slightly and she'd been in the city almost as long as Tori, maybe even a bit longer. Didn't change her outlook on it, though. "I'm sure we'll be fine." Ever the optimist, that one.

Tori cracked a smile and walked through the sliding doors, relieved they'd made it. Not that she'd admit that out loud, no sir. Walking up to the front desk, she asked the nurse for directions to Jack's room. Explaining that they were friends of his, the nurse pointed it out and Tori thanked her. Easy enough.

It was relatively easy to find Jack's room, too. Tori walked in, followed closely by Alyssa. "Knock, knock. We come bearing gifts," she announced, offering Jack a big smile.

Jack didn't like the idea that the girls were coming by themselves. But he would be something of a hypocrite if he said anything against it so he just kept quiet. That was the best course of action lately. Not talking. He honestly didn't know what to say these days. Everything he was doing ended up the same way. Sky yelling at him. The only difference in the way he reacted last night was Jack actually felt it. How Sky reacted, like he'd betrayed and let him down. Still he tried not to let it show, though exhaustion was an evil thing like that. Everything showed on his face when he was to tired to hide it.

Frowning as he shifted positions to look at the door, he felt a sting of pain and grimaced. Not a good plan. Moving..tch, who needed it anyway. The T.V. was on in the background, some cartoon he wasn't really paying attention to. His attention went straight to the girls in his doorway and he offered them a groggy smile. Still on pain medication, he dreaded the day it went away though. He needed it, so much.

He'd tried to go without it but it was to early. The wound wasn't fully healed. Nurses still were coming in to change the heavy bandage around his waist every few hours. "Thank god. Can I eat it? Tell me I can eat it. I need to hear those magical words." There was food trays near by, but Jack hadn't picked at any of them. The only thing he was able to stand eating was the pudding as he'd told Sam. He may not be able to offer them anything but he had lots of pudding. "I had better food in prison." He said looking at the trays. His attempts at humor were only that really. He was a little hesitant talking to either of them. Unsure what he could and couldn't say without sparking a fire between them.

Thankfully, nothing had happened on the trek over to the hospital. If the girls had been out on patrol, they probably would have encountered something and hopefully, they would've been able to handle it.

Tori and Alyssa glanced at each other when they noticed the food trays had gone untouched. "Well, it's a good thing I make things that are edible. Yes, you can eat it," Alyssa joked, putting the batch of muffins next to Jack. She didn't want him over exerting himself in trying to reach it, especially with that wound.

Tori cracked a smile and laughed lightly at Jack's joke, even though she could see his heart wasn't in it. "Looks like something tried to do you in," she observed. "Guess they didn't know you're a tough one, though," Tori added, attempting to comfort Jack, not insult him.

With these demons, Jack wasn't sure anybody could handle it. They'd broke his morph. Red ranger morph was damn near impossible to break but they did it. With little effort. Had it only been one or two he might have done fine. But there were six, if not more. He lost count after a while. The food probably wasn't as horrible as Jack made it out to be, but he hadn't had the stomach for eating after what happened with Sky the other night. He still hadn't come back. It broke something deep inside him. Cut worse than the knife did.

"Your a life saver." He was trying not to be to stubborn, trying to do the right thing. Lately he didn't know what that was. Part of him wondered if he should have gone after Sky. Or if that would have made things worse. He just didn't know what it would take to get through to him these days. Even patrol was an attempt to show him he had things under control-everything had been so quiet lately, it was just routine. It should have been fine. But it wasn't. Like everything else lately it backfired in his face.

Jack was still pale from the blood loss, but doctors were giving him transfusions. After that he'd likely be free to go. "To stubborn to die." He smirked faintly, taking a bite of one of the muffins and looking at them both. "These are amazing." He devoured the rest of the one he was eating. Then sobered a little. "I was morphed when it got me. It's the only reason I'm not.." His voice trailed off and he smirked almost bitterly. "Those days are over anyway, I can't find it. It's not with my stuff." Sky had the morpher, but Jack had no idea. If he did he'd be a little more worried.
