Who: Ruby What: Something she has to do Where: A non descript townhouse When: Early hours of the 5th. Rating: TBD Status: Complete as narritive
She was out, free, well...no not free. Not ever. But she had some of her freedom back, Castiel deciding to let her out of the trap, another one of his tests, that little bit of freedom offered and yet telling her he needed time to think about allowing her to lock in the body, she figured he was worried he was trusting her too soon, and in all appearances it looked like he'd made a mistake.
As soon as she got out of the house, still free of hex bags, Ruby moved quickly and though not hiding from Castiel took a longer route than she had to to the little alley that contained the door marked with a Pentegram. She said the right words to gain acsess, the little idiots still worshipping Lucifer or whatever in this worlds hells was answering them in his stead. Some demon overlord laughing at the idiocy. But they'd have followed her too, some of them probably did. They fawned over her, asked where she had been, told her how worried they were about her, and for a moment she felt the desire for that power again. Followers, deals. They'd do anything for her.
But she pushed that thought away, For no other reason than Castiel and pushed her way past them and into the back room she knew so very well. The sigils she'd drawn in blood, the candles, the altar.
Where she had come so often when the plan seemed like the last thing she wanted, when she had friends, loyalty from people. She'd come here to reaffirm her faith, the reasons why she was lying to them, to Castiel, why she was making Sam a monster.
And that faith had turned on her.
Her eyes turned black, and Ruby moved to the centre of the room and sent a pulse of force so strong a crack appeared in the wall, then another, and another, the room shook, the candles and goblets smashed against the wall with a wave of her hand and the once well maintained altar fell apart snapping in two. And Ruby wasn't done. The door was pushed open, and the fawning idiots had gathered outside, wondering what had gone wrong what had happened. And the demon. In no uncertain terms told them, a cruel smile twisting her lips.
"Was a lie...all of it. Lucifer's not your saviour, not gonna come and make the world better, any world, you've been praying to nothing special. Now leave. Because I'm gonna bring this place down"
They hesitated for a moment so Ruby hurled a goblet at them, she thought she might have concussed one but the others got the message grabbing their fallen friend and leaving. And once they had, Ruby moved from room to room, gutting the place, cracking the walls, just enough. It would be deemed unsafe not long after.
Once satisfied she'd gotten everywhere Ruby returned to the altar room and looked around at the shattered remains of her faith. And finally let her eyes return to their human visage and having made her peace with what she'd done here, she wandered somewhat aimlessly from the destroyed house.
Once outside though, away from everything, Ruby leaned on the opposite wall already hearing the sounds of sirens come to investigate the disturbance, no doubt alerted by the little satanist horde. That was fine. She was done here anyway.
