Dr. Anders walked into Dick's hospital's room to check his vitals. So far everything was normal for someone who had just been shot. It really couldn't get any worse at this point. Although there wasn't much else he could do at the moment since they had to wait for the boy to wake up. He had checked before he went in and he still hadn't had any visitors, he wondered whether a family member was on their way or not. Still he couldn't stay in the hospital room and wait for someone to show up. After double checking when his last IV change was he left the room. He would check back in a couple hours and he knew a nurse would get him when a family member got there. His shift wasn't over so he couldn't spend the whole time waiting in the hospital room to talk with the family. One of the nurses decided to stay close to the room in case things took a turn for the worst.

Terry didn't do hospitals. They scared him. More than anything he'd ever faced as Batman. Any punishment he'd ever been given as Terry. Still he felt like he owed Dick this much. Come visit him. The last time he was in a hospital was when his father was murdered. He still held that vision of him lying on the coroner's wing of the hospital on a steel table. He paled drastically as he cautiously approached the private room where Dick lie motionlessly hooked up to tubes and monitors. Terry didn't know where Bruce was, he was probably already suiting up to go catch the guy who did this.

Terry wanted to help. Wanted more than that. For the second time he felt pure twisted emotional anger when he even thought of putting on the suit and taking to the streets. He didn't know where it came from, but he couldn't stop it either. Cracking open the door Terry stepped inside and looked down at Dick without really seeing. Things had been hell lately. He'd been trying so hard to forget killing the man with Bruce's face. Then to have another tragedy so quickly..it was all so much to deal with. Bruce tried to reach him, but every time he did it was automatic reaction for Terry just to shut down. Push him out. He didn't know how to handle it. Any of it.

Once the nurse saw that a boy went into Dick's room she went to find Dr. Anders. He had told her to come get him once someone arrived. It was a few minutes before she actually found him. She had to wait a few minutes since he was with another patient. Once Dr. Anders looked up he knew why she was standing at the door. Thankfully he was finished explaining the surgery to this patient. He didn't even stop at the door to talk to the nurse just headed straight for Dick's hospital room. Once he got to the door he stopped for a moment, looking in and seeing Terry standing there. It was obvious that he wasn't Dick's father, maybe brother.

He walked in, "Hello I'm Dr. Anders." He walked over to the hospital bed then grabbed his chart before looking up at Terry. "I'm guessing you're Mr. Grayson's brother." He didn't want to start out by blurting out a bunch a facts since he could tell that the boy was upset.

"Something like that." Terry said as he heard the voice suddenly in the room. Their situation was complicated. Dick was Bruce's adopted son from the past, and Terry was his biological son from the future. There was no easy way to explain it so he danced over the fine lines and just avoided explaining it as much as possible. "Do the cops have any lead on who did this?"

Dr. Anders looked up at him but decided not a asked what Terry meant by that. It wasn't important at the moment so he would just ask about it later, maybe. "Well of what I know it was just a random robbery. So there really isn't any leads but I can put you in touch will the officer leading the investigation," he said as he looked back Dick. "I do hope they catch the man who shot him."

"So I'll go a head and tell you Richard's condition or would you rather I wait for your father?"
