Fire. Heat. Smoke. Choking smoke. Why was this happening? Screaming, she pleaded to Cal to help her. But deep down, she knew he wouldn't. He wanted her dead. It was almost funny in a way, how the one guy she thought was perfect in every way was now trying to kill her. Morgan was slowly starting to accept that she was going to die. There was no way Cal would let her go and she couldn't get out on her own. "Why me?" she said to herself. "Why me?" This just wasn't fair. Such a powerful user of Wicca was to die from the element that was her natural inclination.
But it seemed that Morgan wasn't going to die that night.
As if by a miracle, her friends had come to save her. Bree, Robbie, Sky and Hunter...they'd come to rescue her. Once she was out of the pool house, everything started to go by in a blur. Comforting words and finally a feeling of safety. She could finally be at ease. Or so she thought.
That's when it felt like something was tugging at her consciousness, as if trying to pull her away somewhere. She concentrated, trying to use just raw power to dispel the force, but it didn't work. Morgan was being pulled away, but to where she didn't know.
It might have been a few moments or a few hours, she really wasn't sure, but eventually she was dropped by whatever force that was pulling her. It wasn't a graceful landing in the slightest. No, she dropped onto the sidewalk of a dark street and landed right on her back, automatically having the wind knocked out of her upon impact. Sitting up, she coughed trying to get her breath back.
"Oh look...I think dinner just decided to drop in..." The words had an underlying growl in them and Morgan didn't like the sound of them one bit. Getting to her feet, she looked at the creatures that were standing around her. Three men...but with fangs. Vampires? How was that possible? Vampires didn't exist. "What do you want from me?" she asked, voice shaking a bit. She'd just come from almost being burned alive, after all.
She got no verbal answer, but the vampire that had spoken before simply lunged at her, pale hands grabbing her by the shoulders and pushing her back against a nearby wall. Morgan kneed him in the stomach and pushed him off her, but it wasn't long before one of the other ones came to take his place.
They were going to kill her if she didn't do something quick. And of course she could. Five bucks said these vampires didn't know that they were up against a very powerful witch. A witch new to her abilities, but powerful nonetheless.
