It was something they just never got around to. With one thing and another the matter of the apartment and rent had just never come up, never spoken about and it was starting to be something she thought about. Jack had a job now, and Tenel Ka had sold a good deal of her Hapan Jewellery to get that place. It just...She needed things clear, she was happy for him to have the place but it had originally been a temporary gesture after she had moved into the Hyperion and had been looking to let the place anyway, that had just with one thing or another, dragged out, and then Jacen had come back and the Hyperion had made more sense.

Arm linked in Jacen's, her husband to be. They turned onto the street where her apartment was and up toward the door knocking it.

"It really does show doesn't it. How busy this place keeps us. I'm glad we're part of AI. I truly am. I don't know what I'd do without helping people in some capacity and you...well, you couldn't just do nothing could you. You'd go insane..."

Interesting choice of words, but she was able to joke like that now, Caedus was gone from him, a rapidly fading memory, this was the beginning of a life Tenel Ka had never dreamed she could have.

And nothing was going to take that away from her.

But today was about other things. She leaned in to Jacen for a quick kiss as they waited to be let in.

Jack didn't really mind paying rent, infact preferred it. He didn't want to be a freeloader now that he had settled down and accepted that this city was becoming his home. He'd been there for a year and a few months, it was about time he got comfortable. He spent most of the morning picking up the place since he knew they were coming over. He didn't want them tripping on his laundry, that could be potentially embarrassing. Everything was cleaner than usual. Not much was changed however, it was mostly still the same way T.K. had left it when she let him borrow it. Jack wasn't exactly a decorator after all. He didn't have the first clue what to do with it when it came to design. He hadn't moved in because he wanted to get into interior decorating.

He had however added on a bit, upgraded the entertainment center. A nice shiny flat screen t.v., playstation 2, a few stacks of games on the floor he'd been busying himself with since his little freak out over Buffy. He still hadn't really figured that one out. Buffy was a friend, nothing more. Comic books on the coffee table, obviously the most sophisticated person when it came to reading material.

Jack had put together some drinks, an assortment of them. None of them liquor-he'd learned that lesson already, wasn't about to go down that path again. Not to mention he was still under age and now that he was a cop he would be a little more respectful of the law. Plus it could kill him. So there were mixed fruit juices and glasses on the table with ice. Giving the apartment a last glance over he opened the door when he heard them. "Jacen, T.K." He greeted them with a charming grin and stepped aside to invite them in. "Welcome to Chateau Landors." Offering a smirk. Sky was likely around, he just didn't know where, but he hoped he'd make an appearance. He wanted to introduce his former teammate to his friends.

"C'mon in. Can I get either of you a drink? Hey Sky, company." He called down the small hallway towards the rooms.

Tenel Ka walked in still at Jacen's arm and looked around the place eyes finding the entertainment center, the clean area and the trap on the floor, to trap demons she believed. She would ask about that later. He was offering a drink.

"If you have coffee I believe we..."

Sky? Company?

Was someone else living here?

"Sky, your friend from home?." she asked delicately, not wanting to jump to conclusions, maybe he was just visiting maybe they were...maybe he had stayed over. There could be any one of a number of reasons. But she figured Jack would have told her if someone else was living there. They had talked about the apartment before all the insanity of the switches, before Caedus had come to Los Angles.

Jacen recognized the trap design, similar to the ones around the Hyperion. For some kind of demon or another, it didn't make much difference. What would make a difference was if the kriffing thing would wash off. This was a sublet and he wasn't sure he'd be able to mind trick the owner into not seeing it whenever he did take the property back.

Well no, he knew he'd be able to do it, it was more an issue if he'd be allowed to do a trick that detailed.

"Coffee would be great, thank you."

He sensed Tenel Ka's confusion at the mention of someone else. There had never been any mention or agreement about a roommate, so, he supposed he could just be visiting.

Coffee first, then questions.

Honestly if he was asked about Sky staying he wouldn't know how to respond. Sky had just arrived, they hadn't really talked about him living there permanently or not yet. Now was as good a time as any. "Coffee, yeah I've got that. Hope you don't mind the instant stuff. " It wasn't great coffee but it was coffee. Something he desperately needed since joining the force.

"Yeah. He just arrived a couple weeks ago. Was pretty freaked out. First night and I ran into him being cornered by vampires at the park. Didn't know where else to take him. " He sighed. The city was filled with vampires..still. Jack had been wondering lately if they'd ever win the war. Still he seemed to catch onto what T.K. was getting towards even without having fancy mind tricks of his own. It didn't take a genius. Jack hadn't mentioned Sky staying there before. "We haven't really talked about where he's actually gonna stay yet." Jack paused as he disappeared into the kitchen for the coffee, and returned a few minutes later handing one each to them. "Do you think he could stay here for a while? I mean until we figure things out. I'm sure he'd help with the rent. Sky isn't the type to just leave me high and dry with the bill." He hopped anyway.

"Instant is fine" she replied, amused, Jacen had decided very quickly he didn't believe in instant. But he would drink it and be happy with it, and she would mock him later. Right now she wanted to know what was going on.

"He has been here more than a couple of weeks Jack. I remember you mentioning his arrival. And I did talk to you about rent before and specifically mentioned prices implying it was just you. I don't mind particularly. I just would like to have been told sooner. Its been two months if not longer with two of you living here for free."

She wasn't being harsh, just protecting her investment, she'd have done the same on Hapes, in fact she'd probably have done more, but Jack was a friend. She would just like to have known.

"I'll want to meet him before I agree for sure"
