WHO: Mitchell and Lauren
WHAT: Facing the ex
WHEN: June 29th, afternoon
WHERE: Lauren's motel
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In progress
It had taken him longer than he'd like to admit to gather the courage to go and face his ex. That was the easiest way to think of her, the ex. Not as the woman he killed, the woman who's existence he'd ruined. His responsibility, his mistake. Just, the ex.
She had a power over him, ever since that night when he'd lost control and sunk his fangs into her neck, feeding from her, condemning her. It wasn't love, it was something far too messed up for that. But he felt drawn to her, something about her always calling him back.
Even when she killed people. A whole family, dead because of her. Because of him in a way, he was the monster who turned her. Something he was still finding hard to live with.
Mitchell didn't tell anyone where he was going as he left the Hyperion, the collar of his leather jacket turned up as he hunched his shoulders against the LA sunlight, sunglasses protecting his sensitive eyes. Maybe he should have left a message or a note of some kind. 'Off to see the ex. Don't wait up' Because that wouldn't have looked suspicious at all.
It felt oddly like old times as he made his way to her motel room, knocking on the door as he leaned against the wooden door frame.
