Terry didn't know what to think. Was this real, or was he walking right into a trap? Whatever it was, he wasn't being stupid about it. He refused to give Bruce the location of Roy's until he was absolutely certain it was him. Part of him even wanted to come in costume, but the other knew he stood a better chance out. In a public place. Batman may be crude, violent, but he severely doubted that he would do anything to deliberately hurt anyone in what he considered "his" city.
Still he was nervous. It was stupid but he was. Maybe he should have told Roy where he was going..Maybe this was a bad idea. He was getting second thoughts as he took his coffee from a woman behind the counter with hands that shook slightly and made his way towards a small table to sit by the window. This was ridiculous. He fought bad guys on a daily basis back in Gotham. Took on the league of assassins by himself, and he was scared beyond reason to meet Bruce Wayne. His own father. He couldn't even drink the coffee, there were too many nerves in his stomach. He hadn't been eating or drinking much at all since the Justice League went rogue. Hadn't had time and slept when he did.
Pulling his trademark brown and silver jacket over his shoulders he stood up. Suddenly not feeling very confident he could do this at all, and started towards the door. His face was bruised and it was a chore just to breathe. Those were perfectly good reasons to leave, right? A good cover story as to why he didn't show up. Terry moved a little quicker through the small crowd of people and got to the door when he ran into a taller figure and saw stars infront of his eyes for a second. "Sorry..I wasn't paying attention." That stung more than it should. Damn.
