He wasn't sure what had happened. If he were to guess, he'd suppose that he'd been one of the victims of that swapping that had been going on in LA. But the truth was, he had no memory of where he'd been. There was just one thing he knew for certain, this was not the body he'd left in. Where there had been the remains of his marriage tattoo, there was now smooth, unblemished skin. He'd died and downloaded, at least once.

He didn't think he wanted to know any more. All that mattered was he was back, in LA. And there was only one thing Sam wanted to know.

He got up from where he'd appeared, lying on his bed, before tearing through the apartment, yelling.

"Mirta?" Please be here he inwardly prayed to the Lords of Kobol. Please be ok. "Mirta?"
