WHO: Sam and Vamp!Faith (Ruby is lurking in the background!) WHAT: An attempt at containment. WHEN: Evening. WHERE: The Factory. RATING: TBD. STATUS: In progress.
Bullshit. This was all complete and total bullshit. It was one thing to have him swapped out for some alternate version of himself, but to snatch up the Faith that he knew and loved, only to replace her with a blood-sucking monster (ha, like he could talk!)? The truth was, if Sam had access to a way to confront the Powers That Be, he'd likely end up getting himself slaughtered due to the harsh behavior that would take place during the encounter. He had appreciated their actions in the past, what with them bringing his family here, but there was a line and, officially, they had just stepped forward and over the damn thing. No one stepped over that line and got away with it. No one. Sam was aware that actually confronting the Powers That Be would be right up there with the task of personally having a two-way face to face conversation with God - even if, okay, that had happened before...sort of - Sam was hardly in the mood to think too logically. Logic, in fact, had been less of a friend to him lately than he was willing to admit. He may have been the one wearing all the claims for the book smarts, but when it came to strict, every day, 'hey, even that five year old knew that was wrong' common sense, Sam Winchester failed rather epically.
Partially, it was this lack of common sense that one might find responsible for his current activity. Partially. Being so emotionally invested in Faith held the most reign over his actions, blinding him entirely to the consequences that would definitely follow if he didn't play his cards out the right way.
The Factory was a club. An open space, full of people...and demons, and vampires, and God knew what else. It was the perfect place to strike up a meeting. The vampire (Sam, in a currently stubborn state, refused to call her Faith, so 'the vampire' was officially her new title) would feel more comfortable in her element, while Sam had the advantage of knowing that because of the massive amount of space in the area combined with the dozens of breeds of species that passed through, she would never know that he had brought along a third party to ensure that things didn't turn sour. Yes, he had lied. She demanded that Sam arrive alone, which was the original intention, but after discussing matters over with Ruby they both concluded that it wasn't the best plan. The vampire might suspect that he had brought someone along, which would hardly be a surprise to him, but there was no way that she could prove it if Ruby didn't step up to the plate and show herself. They made a good team, he and Ruby, so Sam was entirely positive that she would never do as much unless she believed that he was going to get hurt. And when he was ready for her to. Eventually, he'd need help lugging the vampire out. Sam had found a pretty stable place to contain her a little ways downtown, tucked away right inside an abandoned facility that was perfectly equipped for containment. It was merely the process of retrieval that was worrying. Sam felt confident in his ability to fight it out, he had sucked up enough blood lately to ensure that he was, but Sam didn't know what a Vampire Slayer turned vampire was capable of. If he was certain of anything, it was that he needed to be very careful.
Unfortunately, caution was a hard thing to exercise when all he wanted to do was grab this vampire by the shoulders and shake her with demands on where the real Faith was.
Hunched over his drink, Sam uneasily gazed out from the bar, eyes seeking out the vampire in question. There was no sign of her yet. He was beginning to wonder if she had found something more fascinating to invest her time in. Was she out slaughtering innocents? Eating babies? Oh God, he was going to be sick. Hands shaking angrily, Sam gripped at his beer bottle and forced down another swig. Fighting the temptation to hurl it across the floor, Sam leaned out and began to search for the vampire again. She would be wearing Faith's face. He could pretend she was possessed. Maybe that would make this easier.
