Who: Gul Dukat & Ed Zeddmore
What: A random encounter
When: April 28th
Where: A street
Rating: TBD
Status: In complete

Dukat had once again set out on his own from the center he was using as a temporary residence, dressed to the brim in his gray and black uniform much like a Earth soldier would proudly display the garments of his station. He strode forward in his unique conceited swagger along the sidewalk, quietly enjoying the peculiarity that his presence oozed among the human crowds. A slight smirk curved its way upon his ashen lips while he paused a moment to take in his surroundings with his blue gaze, his lanky arms resting at his sides.

From a small distance his piercingly colored eyes into them a familiar face, a face he had seen on the internet showing off his fighting skills against something he called a ghost. He had seen some potential in the unusual youth; perhaps with the right training he could be a formable fighter. However, it seemed that Ed was more interested in playing with his companion on his website. The gul strolled towards him, smirking in a sort of impish way “Well if it isn’t the ghostfacer himself….An interesting source of information you provide…” Hilarious seemed more appreciate.

"Ah, a fan." Ed pleasantly turned away from the display of television sets that he had been examining, arms spreading enthusiastically to greet the person who had approached him. Those arms slid down to his sides half a second after Ed raked in the sight of the approaching figure. Was there some kind of convention going on in the area that he didn't know about? This guy totally looked like a Star Trek junkie. A really good one too. The costume totally looked authentic.

"Dude, where'd you get your costume?" It was kind of cool. He'd totally buy one if he had the money.

The gul threw his head back in laughter at the suggestion he was in a costume, it seemed to be a common misconception that humans were laboring under “Cardassia actually… this costume you’re referring to is not a costume, I reassure you” The alien couldn’t be terribly insulted by Ed’s statement, though he had mistaken his real form for a costume, he did have an expression that stated clearly his enthusiasm.

In all his haughty glory Gul Dukat stepped forward in those thick military black boots, allowing him to examine closer the solid gray flesh of his face and the delicate details of his eye ridges that encircled his sunken eyes and covered the surface of his pronounced forehead “I am in fact Gul Dukat…”

"You are not," Ed argued, raising a hand to poke at his face. Well. That was weird. It almost felt...real? "You're just playing a game." He frowned a tiny bit, poking him in the face again.

"Wow, man, this costume is really good. Now do you wanna kinda step out of character for a sec to tell me where you bought it? This thing would be great for the show. We could record a Cardassian fighting it out with a ghost and it will kick so much ass."

Dukat was surprised by the sudden and rather rude poke to his face. He was not particularly fond of the gesture, but if it proved to him that he was what he said he was he would allow it. However, when he did it again his gray hand reached out to grasp Ed’s wrist in a iron tight grip. A low growl of warning entered his speech as he spoke to him
“Don’t do that… again…”

Carefully he let his lengthy digits release the human, putting on a slight smile that was a bit more dangerous then the one he had produced before “You humans seem to have a difficulty believing your eyes. Is it so difficult to believe I am who I say I am?” He inquired with tilted head, revealing more of his slender ridged neck. “Again this is not a costume I am a Cardassian. So I don’t you will be able to purchase the right attire but if you are interested in a real Cardassian, maybe I will consider helping you…maybe”

Ed yanked his hand away from Dukat's grip and winced. How RUDE. "Jeez, man, there's no need for the violence." His expression went from one of offense to a more serious tone. "Unless you really are looking for a serious ass kicking. In which case..." He stepped back, hands rising to each side as if he were actually daring Dukat to attack him. "Bring it on, bitch." Getting into a fight with a guy in a costume would be pretty badass. Too bad Harry wasn't around. It would have been more worth the effort if they could record it and toss it up onto youtube. The hits would be wild.

"Enough chit-chat, Trekkie. You've officially messed with the wrong dude. Why don't you hand me that costume and we'll call it even?"

Dukat stared at the human for a few moments, clearly amused by the odd bravery of the human youth before him. Did he really think he could take the Cardassian in hand-to-hand combat? This human was utterly insane! The gul laughed, actually laughed loudly, at him. Slowly it let the amused sound to die into a chuckle before he addressed him again “You…wish to engage in combat with me? I don’t believe you value your life very much. I am quite certain you want to continue your career” It was veiled threats. Though he was amused, Ed was proving to be rather irritating to the alien.

For instant, the moment he brought up costume again his top lip curled into a slight sneer and his eyes sharpened into a clear sign of aggression. He had enough of this costume business! Confidently he stepped forward into the man’s personal space to intimidate him, his nostrils flaring even so slightly when he spoke in that familiar guttural tone “I grow increasingly tiresome of your belief that I am not real …I am Gul Skrain Dukat!...and no I think you are messing with the wrong Cardassian.”
