He hadn't been in LA long and decided that he better get used to his surroundings because from the looks of it, he was going to be here for a while. John had heard some things about the city, most famously that the place was crawling with crime, and out of curiosity, he ventured alone, purposely looking for trouble. Even if he didn't have his flame igniter, a mere lighter would suffice for his ability and if anyone tried to do him harm, he'd burn them to a crisp. And it was what he was looking for.
John didn't know what time is was-- it was awfully hard to tell because of the blackened sun which he soon found out was caused by something evil in the city-- but it didn't matter because now crime was even bad in the day and running amok. A warehouse in the distance had caught his attention, and pondering if he should go in or not, John opted against the smartest choice and walked into the building looking for danger.
It didn't surprise him when he saw two figures on the floor; one a man and the other a dog, and from the looks of it, they were probably dead, but of what he didn't know. The most important thing about this entire situation was the fact that there was a woman nearby who seemed to be alert of his arrival. "I'd say you did a good job at killing them, whatever it is that you did," he spoke to her.
