With a solid crack, ball met bat as Ben knocked it to the other end of the batting cage, grinning at Castiel as the latest round of balls being shot out came to an end. They'd been taking turns off and on for a bit now, talking about all kinds of stuff, and Ben felt ready to push forward with one of the things he'd really wanted to talk about.
He'd wanted to hang out with Castiel, definitely, and it seemed easier to do that alone now that Ruby was always with his uncle, but it wasn't just to hang out. It was also to ask questions, to sort out things that had been going on that Ben was unhappy about, or just didn't know how to feel about.
"Hey, Cas?" he said, twirling the baseball bat on its end as it landed on the ground, "Being an angel and stuff, do you have to follow the Bible?"
